If you would like your loved one sitting in his or her own soil and nothing getting done about it then this is the home care for you. The owners are ridiculous. They send out caregivers who have no idea what they're getting into and have no info on the patient at all. My husband was a caregiver there and he used to tell me all about it and how bad it was. And then later on a woman that I worked with used this Home Care Agency. She told me that her mother sat in soil for periods of time while they waited on someone to get there and no one ended up showing up. If you don't love your loved

Would not recommend to anyone, wish I️ could give 0 stars. As a former office employee... they hire awful and unreliable caregivers. They treat privately-paying clients like they are on a pedestal and throw the State-paying clients to the wolves. They have taken caregivers away from state clients to send to private paying clients, on more than one occasion. Awful pay with no benefits at all, not a single day of PTO for office staff or caregivers. Owner is micromanaging, manipulative, and doesn’t trust people to do their jobs, even when they come in with more experience!! Doesn’t tell caregivers

The only reason families have had any good experiences with these folks is because of the caring nature of the caregivers hired. To work for this company is hell. There is no training at all. You are thrown in and held liable for someone's loved one. They are too cheap to hire CNAs and registered nurses so caregivers are changing catheters without proper knowledge. I was told that it was a 24 hour service but when I called to get information on my shift the next morning I was told to call back during business hours because she was home with her kids despite the fact that was the 24 hour hotline

Working with Dan and Gretchen at Amara has been nothing short of an excellent experience. I am one of the owners of Senior Directory, a community service for seniors in greater Chattanooga. Amara has been a community partner of ours for over 15 years! During that time, I have watched them humbly transform into one of the best senior care providers in all of Tennessee. They can't schedule people regularly or people that can be on time, most from what I have seen have absolutely no common sense, not to mention the ones just looking for a free ride. I has too give my job to make sure things are done correctly, I had to come in an rewash clothes, dishes,etc because the people they hire are basically filling the minimum requirements for food stamps and aid.... they do not care to do things right....

This company sends its employees out with minimum info about the patient. I worked a 12 hour shift with a very abusive patient. I had been told she was not combative; she was very verbally abusive, cursing me and calling me names. When the shift was up, the relief person was a no show. All my attempts to call the agency failed...I got a msg that the voice had not been set up (!) I can't believe this place stays in business.

An absolute disgrace to all other home care providers. Not only are they completely and utterly unorganized, they also have the most UNPROFESSIONAL, & rude office staff that I have EVER came in contact with. I would strongly suggest to anyone that's looking for home care providers for a loved one, to check this "company" out at the BBB first.
