You may be contemplating divorce or legal separation from your spouse, you may be having issues with your ex-spouse concerning child or spousal support, you may be in a dispute over custody of your children or dealing with any of a number of family law issues that require legal assistance.
In California, as in most states, both parents owe a legal obligation to support their minor children. Once paternity is established either in a Dissolution of Marriage case, a Paternity Case, or in an action brought by the Department of Child Support Services, Child Support becomes an issue. The amount of support each parent pays, or receives, depends upon their respective circumstances.
Under California law, spousal support (also known as alimony) is money paid by one spouse to the other before and after a divorce is finalized. In contrast to child support, no party is legally entitled to spousal support. Moreover, spousal support is not calculated using a preset statutory formula.
California is a community property State. The legal presumption is that assets acquired and debts incurred from the date of marriage, up to the date of separation, are community assets and debts, and those will be divided equally in a divorce proceeding. There are a few exceptions, such as a gift or inheritance given to one spouse.

I hired Patrick to represent me in 2 custody cases. One was for custody and the other was for a move away. In both cases I received excellent service, communication was awesome, whether I called or e-mailed I always received a timely response.
