If I could give negative stars I would without even thinking twice.
James Hollenberg was selected by our mortgage company to do the appraisal for our first home. Not only was he late with the initial appraisal report but he was almost impossible to get ahold of to do the follow up after necessary repairs were completed...only 2 days after the initial report was done! After he finally showed up to assess the repairs and then finally turned the report in...late again for closing date...we found at least two errors in his report that required him to fix it. This prompted the lending company to go

We recently had a refinance done that needed a new appraisal. Just a reminder we only bought the house 1 year ago and now it’s 70,000 less than we paid for it. The home is on 25 acres and not a comparable close to ours was used. These people are absolutely unintelligent and can not do the job they were asked to do by our mortgage company. Please if I could give less than 1 star I would.

Absolutely horrible! First shorted out square footage by 300 sq ft from our original appraisal for buying our house and didn’t use the comps of the houses recently sold in our exact neighborhood with the exact same house being built right next to us! Do not go with appraisals first inc or Bevin pope. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Absolutely horrible! I've been waiting to receive my appraisel for 2 weeks now. Still haven't received it. Jim told me 5 days in a row that he would have it to me by the end of the day but at the end of each day still no appraisal. Now Jim won't answer my phone calls or return a call after many voicemails left. Never do business with them!
