The Catholic Church confidently proclaims that God has created each person for eternal life. At the moment of death, life is changed-not ended-as an eternal dwelling is made ready for us in Heaven. When that time comes to move from this life to the next, Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Homes will be there to serve and comfort you and your family. As a nonprofit ministry of the Catholic Church, we're an extension of your faith community.

In the Church's teachings, it is clear that burial in a Catholic cemetery is a holy privilege. Catholic cemeteries are an extension of the parish where those who have worshipped and prayed together in life now await the resurrection of the body in death. Catholic cemeteries are rooted in ancient religious traditions that display a respect for the deceased and a reverence for their physical remains.
The most significant history of Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Homes is written in the stone or bronze monuments and memorials of all the faithful buried who are awaiting resurrection. Their life stories proclaim God's story. This history is still being written by families recovering from the grief of recent loss or honoring the memory of loved ones from long ago.
As Catholics we are blessed with the promise of life everlasting. To be with our Lord in Heaven, we are baptized, follow His word, and keep Him in our hearts throughout our journey on earth. At death, we trust our bodies to a sacred Catholic funeral, to be prepared for the Resurrection. Because we know God created us in His own image and likeness, we honor our bodies with respect and dignity, in life and in death.
An extension of the Church, Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Homes are sacred grounds. They provide places of prayer that reflect our beliefs and traditions. The Catholic cemeteries and funeral homes are shrines to our faith, a reminder of the promise of the resurrection of the spirit. Today, six cemeteries and two funeral homes serve Catholics in Central and Northern Arizona, each connecting us with our history and Christian ancestry.
There are three sacred moments within a Catholic funeral that focus on the Christian journey of faith, from baptism to death and eternal life, and offer unique opportunities for remembrance, comfort and expressions of devotion. The rite celebrated by the Christian community in the time following death and before the funeral liturgy.
