Mind to Mindful collaborates with a large network of private practice psychotherapists in Northern and Southern California to ensure that patients have easy timely access to affordable excellent psychotherapy with therapists who accept their insurance. Mind to Mindful was formed to address the rapidly emerging field of mindfulness-based therapy.

A growing body of research shows that mindfulness practice reduces stress and enhance happiness. Our program offers live streaming and recorded group training. Mindfulness training can provide great benefit either as an adjunct or as an alternative to psychiatric medication and psychotherapy. Many events in life are painful - but struggling with our own thoughts turns pain into suffering.
Services
In the same way an athlete builds strength by lifting weights or a pianist builds skills by practicing scales, mindfulness builds skills to support purposefully attending to our own thoughts, emotions and sensations with a gentle curiosity. Dr. Levine is a board certified psychiatrist and founder of Community Psychiatry, a psychiatry practice with 50 offices, 80 psychiatrists and 150 therapists throughout Northern and Southern California.
Mission-driven organizations face unique stresses. Their clients' needs are often intense while their resources are limited. Care giver burnout is common. Our practical, accessible tools for on-the-ground challenges of daily work will help those who work in the nonprofit sector find the inner capacity to create, to thrive and to lead.
Licensed psychotherapists to work on a fee for service basis as independent contractors. This is not a salaried full-time position and qualified candidates must have their own office to see clients. Prior experience with a mindfulness practice is optimal but not necessary as the organization will offer on-going training for all its clinicians in mindfulness psychotherapy.
Some negative emotions are useful. Fear protects us from danger. Anger is a useful response to a threat and sadness helps us heal from loss. But many negative emotions such as depression, anxiety, panic, frustration or despair are destructive. These negative emotions add to our stress and can make us ill.
Start by feeling the physical sensation of the breath, wherever in your body you might feel this. When you notice that your mind has wandered, gently bring your attention back to feeling the breath. Observe whatever thoughts are going through your mind, as if you were watching clouds floating across the sky.

Do not go here. When I would tell my doctor I was having negative effects from the medication I was put on he would roll his eyes and tell me to keep taking them.
After I was on the same medication for over 6 months I was told I would have to deal with the side effects and I would be fine.
I can not stress enough. DO NOT GO HERE.

I experienced a lack of professionalism with this organization. I called over two weeks ago and have checked in three times without any response at all. The therapist suggested for me was Mark Jacobson. Mr. Jacobson has never returned my call to say whether he could work with me or not. I'd think that a therapist would be more compassionate and understanding with someone seeking help. It's a very vulnerable place to begin with. Now I'm back to square one. I hope this helps anyone else out there. Don't give up...
