A good friend referred me to South Bay Management. My mom and I are property owners, and we hired them to find a renter for our home. Mary and Liza came over and met with us before we decided to hire them; they were super professional, extremely knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and had very reasonable prices. They found us a renter in less than two weeks. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future.

If I could give a negative star review, I would. Terrible service, extremely rude. Never call them to manage your services. With multiple break ins even though we are a secure building, all this management team does is not take any responsibility and their attitudes are awful. Alexander is the worst person I have ever dealt with. There is no way I would let his behavior exist on my team, but the manager just comes up with excuses when spoken to about his ability and terrible, disrespectful attitude. All they do is claim they are so busy so that they don't have to take on any responsibility

I do not recommend renting a property that is managed by this company. Request for repairs are not responded to in a timely manner, if at all. There is staff turnover and certain staff are rude to reliable, rent-paying tenants who are making legitimate requests. They also don't abide by State laws about tenant notifications.

I lived in one of the buildings in la Cresta called the la plaza apartments. I lived there for six years. During the six years I lived in two different units. It was always difficult to get any fixed or get through to management. We went through three different onsite managers who all complained how difficult and unfair the SBMS is. Other units are drug addicted and homeless seeks through the trashcans. They expect you to pay for nearly all the repairs/upgrades that they make after you move out. I never got any of my leases until after i moved out and began dealing with issues i feared of by other

Horrible customer service. I called and spoke with Mary Bornia and she was super rude and impolite. I wanted some information regarding my property options and she acted like she didn't want to help me. Now i understand what Yelp reviews were talking about.

I have liked having them be my landlord. They are easy to contact and solve problems. I would rent in one of their buildings again.

Extermley rude agents and manager. They are not willing to help or understand the tenant's point of view. So outdated with their methods of operation. If a landlord is looking to have a bad relationship with their tenants, this would be the management company to use.

ASK TO SEE THIS BUSINESS' BROKERS LICENSE and THE OWNER'S BROKERS LICENSE (as required by law). You will find neither the business nor owner are licensed to operate this real estate agency. PERIOD.

Prior to purchasing my condo, I lived in an apartment managed by South Bay Management Services for over 7 years. They immediately respond to any maintenance or repairs that is needed and the work is always done in a timely manner. The property and landscaping is always well cared for and very clean. Mary has been a an excellent Property Manager and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to rent in the South Bay area.

Ok. Anyone giving these people anything above 1-Star is a fake profile. My family worked extensively with the owner, Mary Colin (who is not, nor has ever been, legally licensed, in any capacity, to run this business). She’s sneaky, condescending, dishonest, and .... well, not a good or trustworthy person. Don’t risk your housing or money with Mary Colin or these guys.

If I could give them a negative star that is much more than they deserve. Mary who is the owner is horrible! She only cares about herself and not the tenants or owner of the buildings. Don't know how she stayed in business over the years.

No experience with them as a property owner but plenty of experience with them as a tenant. Recently moved out of one of the buildings they currently manage in Torrance and had a very negative experience. Management company suggested I move out, rather than attempting to find the root of the issue.

I agree with Paul, avoid at all costs, this company is not interested in the good of the renter, they only want the almighty buck. They won't do what is asked of them upon moving in, (like a decent paint job or touch up of "holidays" etc, but will charge you for it out of your deposit. Fixing things like leaking roofs only when the 9-3 handyman is available is bogus at best. They are a rip! Avoid at all costs.

I am moving to the Redondo Beach area and I am looking for a nice 4 bedroom house to rent while we look to buy. I have heard nothing but terrible things about South Bay Management Services! Thank god I heard about these guys before I got involved with them! I will indeed avoid them at all cost!

Avoid at all costs! If you are an 'absentee owner', they do not do anything in the way of preventative maintenance if it involves spending any of their own time. The epitome of 'penny wise, dollar foolish'! They will happily let the building fall into disrepair and spare themselves effort and maximize their own profits. The owner of the company is an absolute tyrant who believes that the best way to deal with tenants is to bully them into giving up. She makes vague promises to deal with requests and then simply ignores you. Most of her employees leave as soon as they can
