A little about me. I am a nationally certified personal trainer and have been teaching personal and group fitness classes for over 25 years. I am also certified in classical Pilates as well as Lagree Fitness. I graduated from CSULB in Dance and have taught dance, fitness & mind-body classes at CSULA, Equinox, Yogaworks, and Total Woman Gym amongst other fitness facilities & fitness boutiques.

Some fun facts: I am a Flamenco Dancer; I have competed in Bikini Bodybuilding Competitions and I was a cast member in Cirque Du Soleil but it ended with an unfortunate injury to my shoulder and left hip. It took a slow and long recovery journey which helped me to understand and able to relate to a lot of my clients with previous injuries.

I've been working with Personal Trainer Rocio and have seen amazing results in that time. I have never felt stronger or healthier. Rocio is quite simply the best. She has extensive experience in a truly competitive field and she is extremely dedicated to her craft. She is in excellent shape and always seems so upbeat, positive, and full of energy. I've been doing personal training with Rocio for just under two months now and I have loved every second! Rocio is an incredible and patient teacher, taking the time to talk to you about why the exercise you are doing is important and what muscle it is focusing on. I have never been one to enjoy working out, but Rocio has completely changed that with her fun energy and amazing sense of humor that help push me through the times where I want to quit. If you are looking for a trainer that is going to inspire and motivate you, then Rocio is exactly who you want to work with without a doubt. I have been working out with Rocio in studio, online- during the pandemic & currently 1-1 personal training for over 3 years now. She gets to know you, teaches you & then challenges you in order to achieve the results you are looking for. Roció is an excellent instructor. I'm an older person with an artificial knee. Roció has been able to work around my knee and not only strengthen the muscles around the knees but limber me up all over. Roció is never boring because her exercises are always New, targeted to the problem areas. And very fun!!

How should I start??? I don't like to exercise and never was a fan. I'm what most of you would call a slacker - buy membership classes and only go once and never show again. Gym owners must love me as I'm easy money to them. When the pandemic hit and I was so beaten up from work that my husband suggested that I should work out to help relieve some stress and make me healthier. Rocio is one of my favorite fitness instructors! She's energetic, funny, and will not only motivate you to complete your workout but she's also great at assisting you with form. Whether you're into Pilates, Barre, TRX or Spin, she will make sure you're also working on your form in order to achieve the best results!
I never wanted to workout like I do now. I look forward to going to her classes and an hour long class goes by super fast!

I've been taking Pilates classes with ROCIO, she is very knowledgeable with the ability to ensure she provides modifications as I've had two total knee replacement and a fused back! She an an amazing teacher and coach providing guidance and really cares. Today I had a painful Iliotibial (IT Band) she really helped me through the pain taking the time and assisted in loosening up the tightness my IT Band was tight and painful, but after Rocio showed me and helped me roll it out, while also providing a little physical therapy, I felt better. Rocio is a great trainer. She will push you hard but the results will show. After just a few classes with Rocio I've felt so much stronger. She does so many different things during her training. They are not the same old work out routines that can be found online and she will incorporate anything you ask her to focus on. I totally recommend her. She has a great energy!

I've been taking Rocio's pilates classes since August 2020. I have several injuries including a major knee injury and back problems. She gives modifications that take in my strength, ability, and injuries into account so I can get the most out of each session. My strength and flexibility have significantly increased since I've started. She's engaging, upbeat with great playlists. She does mat pilates, reformer, and TRX, and always looking for new ways to challenge us. Requests also welcome.

I'm fairly new to Pilates... I've been taking Rocios class for awhile now. I've learned so much by her instruction.
She explains form, technique and how to target the areas I'm looking to improve on.
I've gain strength, flexibility and have seen a improvement on my endurance. She's very Knowledgeable with diet as well.
Can't leave out her humor... love it!

Never tried a full Pilates class until I started going to LA Pilates Long Beach where I met Rocio who teaches the Tuesday and Thursday afternoon classes. Both my boyfriend and I are runners and we thought Pilates would be a good cross-training workout to compliment are running. Since I started going to Rocio's class, I have been able to properly execute the stretches my whole body definitely needed, especially on my hips and legs. Achilles tendinitis has been a concern for over a year now but with the exercises and tips Rocio has given me, I am now on my road to recovery. Her ab and booty

Rocio is my pilates instructor and WOW do I get a great workout with her. I love how she brings her traditional weightlifting background to our pilates sessions. She'll burn you out like no other......AND I LOVE IT! Some may complain that pilates reformer can be too slow or not a great workout, but with Rocio all those complaints go out the window. I have definitely built strength with her pilates workouts over the past several months. AND she even gives us that extra ab burn with her jokes and dancing that make us laugh. Her style is engaging, she is HILARIOUS, and you are guaranteed

I've been training with Rocio for the last 6 weeks and I can see the difference in my flexibility, strength and overall health. She pushes you to do your best and encourages you to push harder. I was new to Pilates and intimidated to join after recovering from surgery but Rocio made me feel comfortable. I now look forward to her Tuesday/Thursday classes. She will make modifications for anyone suffering an injury and won't make you feel bad about not being able to do certain exercises. She will also give you tips on supplements, eating right and muscle recovery. She is also super funny

Rocio's virtual classes are very engaging and it does feel like she is working out right in front of you. Rocio is very knowledgeable, experienced, professional, caring, enthusiastic and her workouts are very engaging and most importantly, very effective. She caters to your level and customizes workouts as needed. Rocio, Is one fun bundle of positive energy. I take a few of her energetic classes at Total Woman Gym in Glendale. Variety, good music and an all around work out make that hour fast and effective. You really get the feeling that she cares,while she pushes you to the next level of fitness. I am always glad I took her class, and look forward to her next challenge.
