The guy didn’t want to “waste his time” giving me a quote because he didn’t think I would be able to afford it. I hadn’t even mentioned anything about price prior to that comment in our conversation. He explained that steel is more expensive than wood as well and that they do “fancy” buildings. Don’t assume what your customer knows and wants before asking. Completely arrogant and I’ve not been so infuriated by someone’s attitude in a long time. It’s probably a good idea to get someone more personable on the phone for your initial estimates.
