Kubota Mortuary is a family owned and operated mortuary and funeral home that has been serving the greater Los Angeles area and Southern California region for generations. We have developed a great understanding of the needs, customs, and traditions of both the Japanese and other diverse communities who we constantly serve.
We continually strive to maintain traditions, high standards, and the utmost personalized care for our families. In this age of large corporations, mergers and outsourcing, it is hard for anyone to find experienced, compassionate, and personalized service. These three principles are the foundations of our funeral home here at Kubota Mortuary.

Services
There are many decisions to be made at the time a loved one dies, and these decisions must be made at a time that can be emotionally and physically draining. We realize that it is not a topic which many like to approach but by pre-planning, the individual's personal wishes may be addressed in a stress-free manner as well as alleviating difficult decisions for the survivors.

We have used the services of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary for our family since our grandparents relocated to LA after the camps in AZ. As an adult, I will continue with them.
When my father passed away in 2002, I was out of town and my brother told me how Mr. Suzuki was so helpful during our grief. He made great recommendation and since he knew our family, he just knew how it go about our needs with our temple and so on. By the time I got into town, which was less than 24 hours, my brother told me that everything was taken care of with the help of Mr. Suzuki.
Now, my mother passed away early this

Kubota Nikkei has served my family for 3 generations and have always provided us with excellent service. They are professional and caring and helped with personal requests upon my mothers passing. I can be quite critical on services for my loved ones because there are no do-overs. In my job I have also had to work with other mortuaries and I can assure you that Kubota provides the very best of service.

My family has always used Kubota Nikkei's services, and so when my mother passed last year, we automatically called them because we knew that they would provide us with the support and services that we needed during that difficult time. Their communication and coordination was excellent, and they were always available to answer questions. They took care of a lot of the logistics and details so that our family could focus on all of the other arrangements that needed to be done. I would highly recommend Kubota Nikkei.

I made pre-arrangements with Kubota Nikkei Mortuary for my father. Our needs were simple as we did not have an elaborate service. I was reminded that an allowance for obituary notices was included so they would place them in the newspapers for me. What Kubota Nikkei neglected to tell me was that they include their name/logo in huge letters at the bottom of the obituary listing. Nor did they say how it might impact the cost. My father's obituary listing in the newspaper is not an advertising opportunity for this mortuary. An obituary is a final tribute to a loved one at a difficult time. Nothing

Kubota did a great job in both the pre-planning and execution of my parents wishes for their memorial service and disposition of remains. This was especially appreciated as it was my first time handling something like this. Zia was extremely professional, compassionately and helpful. The facilities are tasteful and terrific, and feels more like a small church rather than a mortuary. I would recommend Kubota Nikkei Mortuary without reservation.
