The Highland Chamber Players is a professional string ensemble which has been providing chamber music to the Louisville area since 1982. We offer a wide selection of both classical and popular music for weddings as well as corporate and private events. We offer a String Quartet, a String Quartet including harp and a String Trio as our core groups, but can also incorporate other musicians and vocalists to make your vision a reality.

Services
A founding member of the Highland Chamber Players, Ray is a graduate of Williams College in Massachusetts. He is also the proprietor of Noteworthy Sheet Music and is assistant principal Second Violin of the Lexington Philharmonic and Principal Second Violinist of the Paducah Symphony and plays in other regional orchestras.
You can choose whatever music you want from our repertoire, mixing styles or picking a particular theme as you wish. It could be Bach, Vivaldi, and Handel for an all Baroque wedding or the most recent hits from Top 40 artists such as Bruno Mars and John Legend.
Perhaps you want an all Disney wedding featuring music from both classic movies and the recently released, or a fantasy theme with music from Studio Ghibli, Final Fantasy, Zelda, and other video games.You could prefer a wedding of classic standards with a hint of jazz or a wedding of Celtic and Folk music featuring music of O'Carolan, Enya, and Loreena.

A free personal meeting with Ray Weaver to plan your music selections at Noteworthy Music in St. Matthews. Ray can play musical examples of the many options available for processionals, recessionals and other ceremonial moments to help you make choices that will create the wedding ceremony you envision.
We monitor both emails, phone calls, and text messages to 502-345-5485 throughout the day. Usually we will respond in three hours or less, and frequently immediately. The two most popular options are "formal" with the men wearing Tuxes and black bowties and the women wearing either white tops/black bottoms or all black; and "concert black" with men in long-sleeved black collar shirts and black pants, and women in all black.

The Highland Players performed at our wedding celebration at the Mansion in Lexington. I cannot say enough about the quality, professionalism and beauty of their performance. It was pure perfection. They played before the ceremony and afterwards through cocktails and dinner. They changed up the music appropriately at each stage of the evening. It was so great working with the Highland Chamber Players! Communicating with Ray was so easy and he listened to all my requests and gave a lot of suggestions. They set up, played beautifully and cleaned up! I didn’t even know they had arrived or left and they set up on their own! Everyone loved them and they were extremely professional.

I hired the Highland Chamber Players String Quartet with Harp to play at my wedding ceremony and part of my reception and they were incredible! I wanted a mix of classical for the ceremony, today's top hits for the cocktail hour, and movie/video game scores for dinner and they gave me EXACTLY what I requested. I could not be happier with their services and my guests adored them! Ray is very friendly and receptive to his customers wants/needs. Not to mention they were very affordable for the talent they provided. Would definitely hire them again.

We hired HCP to play during our wedding ceremony and they were absolutely fantastic. I planned our Kentucky wedding from Seattle and Ray was incredibly kind and communicative over email. I only got amazing compliments and everything was beautiful. They have such a vast repertoire that my husband and I were able to pick fun, contemporary songs to match our personalities. The Highland Chamber Players are talented professionals that add serious class to any occasion!
