Next he went to the University of Maine Law School, and received his J.D. Law Degree in 1999. After law school, Ross practiced civil law in Texas for several years. He then began practicing as a criminal lawyer. Ross joined the Austin Texas District Attorney's Office and was a felony only criminal prosecutor for a decade.
