Alma Tire had its humble beginnings in the heart of old downtown Mt. Pleasant, MI. The building -constructed sometime in the 1930's and originally known as Bill Murray's Garage- was eventually purchased in part by Richard Grace and his wife, Mary in 1957. For a 25% stake in the business, they put up $2000 - their life's savings - changed the name to Mt. Pleasant Tire Service and poured everything they had into making their new venture a success.

Thank you so much to the Mt. Pleasant location! My family and I are traveling with our fifth wheel from out of town, when we noticed a acorn bubble in the side wall of our tire on our RAM 3500 dually. We walked in at opening and Jason was able to help us immediately and get us back on the road in a half hour!
Alma Tire got its start in the late 1950s, when our founder Richard Grace returned home from his time in the Air Force. Upon arrival, he took a job working for his father at a tire shop on the corner of Fancher and Broadway, in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Through the years, Alma Tire has grown in size and scope by never forgetting the basics - work hard, and be honest always.

After having really bad experiences with a couple of the other repair shops in town that were recommended to us by local residents, we gave Alma Tire a try. We now bring all of our personal and business vehicles there for repairs, oil changes, and tires. Great customer service and knowledgeable technicians with reasonable rates.

Great shop and the best customer service time and time again.
Example just the other day I was at work and had a flat tire called AAA to get my tire off and called while tire was being charged and Megan said we will get you right in..
Tire had a puncture hole on it and because I bought the tires from there they didn't even charge me. Thank you Alma tire
