Garbo's Salon and Spa's fourth location is tucked inside Oak View Mall. Newly remodeled and located on the mall's first floor, this location is perfect for those who live nearby and those stepping out for a fun shopping day. Our location can be accessed by entering the mall either through the Dillard's main entrance or Oak View Mall's main entrance.

We went to Garbos for styling our hair, there was a group of seven of us and it was for my nieces wedding. We had some teenage girls and a couple of older women they charged us $600 and nobody left with their hair styled correctly. The younger girls had curly hair and we asked for the stylist to straighten and re-curl their hair so they could have perfect curls and they left with their hair messy and not straighten properly. It was one of the worst experiences ever. I had to go home and redo everyone's hair and I end up being late for my own nieces wedding because it took me so much time to

They were great enough to get me in rather quickly once things opened up. I was a new customer, having just moved back. I did go there several years ago and was hoping for the same great service. The person that cut my hair was great, my cut looks ok, not as good as I hoped given how much the cut cost me. What prevents me from giving them a better rating is the surcharge they charged me when I went to pay. I know $4 is not a big deal, but they were not transparent about it. They did not tell me about until after they were done. So with an overpriced cut, surcharge, and tip I got out of there

This has to be the WORST place I've been to. I called made an appointment for 25-35 min from when I called. I arrived and was greeted by this blonde girl that was nice n checked me in. Sat for 20 min waiting... then! I had the misfortune of being assigned to Lexi the available stylist at the time. She f***ed up my head. I asked for a buzz cut n litterly stopped her midway n asked for another hair stylist. I was getting a buzz cut and she ended up using scissors? Who does that? I used this salon for my hair and makeup for myself and anyone in my wedding party that chose to do their hair and makeup! They were so helpful! I did a few trials just because I was a little bit of a diva when it came to making it all perfect! Loved the experience! I would just highly recommend to any brides- do as many trials as you feel you need and don't be afraid to ask for what you want!

I would highly recommend this salon, and my stylist, Kathleen, specifically. I have naturally very curly hair and she took the time to discuss what I wanted. Kathleen really educated me about what she was doing with the products. The salon itself is beautiful and offered all services. The cut was a VERY reasonable price. Thanks to Kathleen and the rest of the folks at Garbo's for giving me a great experience and an excellent haircut!

I'll be honest, when it comes to my hair...I'm picky as all get out. But who isn't. Anyway, I had a gift card to use and I needed a haircut. I originally scheduled my appointment for tomorrow but I needed to move it, I'm glad I did. I saw Naomi and she was great! She took her time and made sure I was happy with the results. I'm pretty sure, I'll go back and see her again.
I also appreciate the receptionist, he was polite and spoke with a smile. Used my name and made eye contact...very personable.

I went in for just a trim and left with one half of my hair 1-2inch unevenly cut. I rarely get my hair cut, and really splurged over $50 on the cut. When I called to say I noticed it after the fact the receptionist did not act surprised and rebooked with me the manager. I am giving two stars instead of one because the manager did correct my hair without charge and was super nice! I was later informed there may be newer stylists working so I suggest requesting a tenured staff member if going in for hair services.

I went to Garbos this summer for an updo for a special event. The event was on a Sunday evening, so it was very difficult to find a hair stylist that was available, but when I saw Garbos would be open I decided to give them a try. I was hugely impressed with their easy-to-use online booking capability - it made it super easy to pick what service I needed (upstyle), the time, and the stylist. I did some research on yelp and other places to identify a stylist that was well reviewed for updos (Marissa), so I booked with her, got an email confirmation, and went on my merry way.

I've been coming here for a few years now and the service and quality is consistent. Staff is polite and they communicate well. Never had issues with scheduling, rescheduling or cancelling. I love my hairdresser Malloree. She is fun, personable and has become a trusted hair professional. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and did a great job! I've had some terrible experiences at other salons in the past, and I'm so glad I found Garbo's. I've never felt more comfortable at a salon.

If from east coast, Be aware of price difference !!!! I went for a regular manicure, no gel. The manicure did not include paraffin and they didn't scrub my hands and arms and have me rinse like they do in New England. Imagine my surprise when I got to the register and what would be $12 in CT was $32. While my nails looked nice, it really wasn't that much more that a polish change and it was the priciest nail treatment I ever had.

First try and it was excellent. I had Franco get my haircut and hairstyle done. He did exactly as I told him to to trim my hair. He didn't "trim" like cutting inches off of my hair but actually trimmed my hair! Very satisfied. I will definitely recommend Garbo's to my friends or whoever ask me where to go to get their haircut :)

Garbo's is still a great salon, but my loyalty to Carolyn S. has pulled me away. If you were a client of Carolyn and would like to know her new location (as of 2/23/15) feel free to message me. I was quite upset before I found out where she moved to! Thanks to Garbos for many years of being your patron! I may be back someday.
