Welcome to our office where you'll find clean facilities, friendly staff and professional advice. Smile & Shine was established in 2010 serving Starr County and Zapata areas, in 2013 we expanded to Weslaco to service Hidalgo County and in 2018 we opened in Roma to meet the needs of our patients. Our motto is "Education and Prevention", where we educate our patients to prevent any types of oral and gum disease.
General anesthesia, in simple terms, is a state of unconsciousness where the patient is unaware of the dental treatment that they are undergoing. The unconscious state requires close and continuous monitoring of the patient's blood pressure, heart electrical activity, breathing, oxygen levels, and temperature.
Composite resins, or tooth-colored fillings, provide good durability and resistance to fracture in small- to mid-size fillings that need to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing. They can be used on either front or back teeth. They are a good choice for people who prefer that their fillings look more natural.

Sometimes teeth have to be pulled out. If teeth don't grow out of gums like they should, they can cause problems like crowding, infections or diseased tissue. However, this can be fixed with a simple tooth extraction. Dentists usually monitor your mouth and offer recommendations if any misaligned or crowded teeth need to be pulled out to maintain the full integrity of your mouth.

My son is 5. He needed recament on crown (privately paid) The female doctor was very rude after procedure the crown was inserted crooked and very out of place she reclaimed that how it was befor which it wasn’t. She cut me off and walked away with no care. I would rate place 1star but luckily the assistant notice my concern he quickly tried to fix it straight and how it suppose to be befor it fully dry. I wish I could put befor and after pictures to show type of work she wanted me walk away with on my son. The lady counter polite and other assistant were as well. Privately paid but regardless
