At Blind Fury in Columbus, we believe that martial arts training can help every child and adult develop the mental and physical skills they need to succeed in life. Martial Arts isn't just about self-defense like so many believe. At Blind Fury, it's all about self-confidence, improved focus, physical strength, and positive social interaction.
Blind Fury teaches our members to set goals, work hard, and follow-through, all the while having fun and making friends. Unlike modern sport judo or traditional jiu-jitsu which emphasize stand up locks and throws, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on the ground game - how to defeat an opponent when the fight goes to the ground.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting as a self defense. Jiu-Jitsu has recently become more popular and is noted to be one of the fastest growing MMA sports in the United States. The concept of BJJ is that smaller people who are not as strong can defend themselves against a larger, stronger opponent.

Blind Fury has been like a second home to me the past 5 months now. Besides learning high level Jiu Jitsu from 4 black belt instructors, the environment in the gym is respectful, clean, and quality. I really chose a gem with this gym. If you’re looking to train jiu jitsu in Columbus, this is the place to be.

Terrible customer service. Attempted to sign my son up for a membership. Walked in and the lady at the front desk was on the phone. We waited patiently. After a few minutes we were told I needed to schedule an appointment. Never had to do that at any other gym. Then the lady at the front desk, without getting off the phone, closed the door as if we were a bother attempting to get a membership. Had a much better experience at Gracie Barra. We will be signing up there.

I had the pleasure of visiting from New York. Jason and his crew were extremely welcoming and helpful. The culture of the gym is phenomenal. The reviews really speak for themselves. This gym has everything that you need to start or continue your jiu jitsu journey. Welcoming staff, knowledgeable instructors, caring students, a clean facility, and a great learning environment. I look forward to visiting again!
Best,

I moved to Columbus a month ago and wanted to continue my BJJ journey. Some buddies of mine trained at Blind Fury before and spoke highly of the gym so I immediately had them on my mind. I walked in one day and met Professor Jason Keaton. We talked for about five minutes and I returned that evening for class and signed up for membership. I knew I found something special. All the Professors, the staff, and my classmates are just phenomenal people. The atmosphere is conducive to learning and everyone exudes mutual respect for each other. Our gym trains high level JiuJitsu in a safe and effective

This is an OUTSTANDING place to train BJJ!!! The POSITIVE ATTITUDES and extreme knowledge of Professor Jason Keaton and all of the instructors are FANTASTIC! They can work with any body type to tweak the techniques to fit your size. I highly recommend giving it a try!
UPDATE: After a year and a half of training I am still progressing. The office staff is second to none (Cristina!). The Professors are still as helpful as ever and help individuals improve based upon their age, flexibility, body size, and abilities. I STILL highly suggest that you give it a try no matter your age!

One of the best kept secrets in Columbus, GA!! Both of my boys, 6 and 3, love working out and learning with the amazing professionals here. It is so much more than just physical fitness! The coaches work on manners, respect and treating others kindly. The physical training they do is amazing and my kids love working on their moves with their friends! It is truly like a big family! There are tons of opportunities for each age group to train everyday and the communication is perfect! We get text and emails!!

This is a great environment for learning martial arts. The instructors have a deep understanding of martial arts principles and they have a passion for leading their students further on their journey to improve in jiujitsu. The training space is clean and well-maintained, and you get a sense that everyone there belongs.
