Love this place, they do a great job and are so friendly. I drive all the way from Norfolk to Chesapeake to get my hair done by Allisa. She always does a great job. Been going here for years. And the prices are affordable. Highly recommended, even if you're not sure what you want, she can help pick it out.

If I could I would immediately give this "salon" zero stars. While sitting and waiting to be seen by my hair stylist I listened as she talked right in front of me to another customer about how her next appointment (me) would be keeping here there all night and then the two proceeded to mock the hair style I was going to get (a balayage) after her client left I looked up and asked her if she had problems doing balayage on customers, because she clearly did. Even though she knew that was the reason I was there she exclaimed that to do a style like that would take too much time. After telling

What an awful decision on my part to try going to this miserable "salon". I get my hair styled once a month at the same salon and lately decided I would try something new, thus booked an appointment with Shear You Up. Upon entering the salon I was greeted with the immediate smell of urine that was almost too overpowering for me to even consider waiting for my appointment. During my hair cut my "stylist" repeatedly said negative comments about how "dry" and "dead" my hair was, very adamantly pushing her products on me, which in my opinion is very unprofessional

I went to Shear You Up today and I honestly can't say enough positive things about my experience! From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by the very friendly receptionist. I didn't have an appointment and she helped work me in. All of the stylists were very friendly and greeted me as they passed. The salon itself had a very clean, homey feel to it. I got a shampoo, cut, and blowout by Alissa. She was truly fantastic! I am very picky about my hair and she listened to all my concerns and was able to answer several questions I had.
