Services
As was the trend in the early 90's, he sold the funeral home and Beth David Chapel became a part of a group of funeral homes owned by a corporation. After a brief sabbatical, Charles returned to Beth David and served as manager where he continued to serve "his" families for the next seven years. Having always regretted selling his funeral home, he was grateful when in 2004 the opportunity came to buy his company back.
At Segal Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
Our staff is comprised of dedicated and licensed professionals with the experience to answer all your questions regarding our services. Please feel free to contact any of our staff members at any time. Along with his family, he moved to South Florida when he was three years old. Charles is a graduate of Nova High School in Davie, Florida.
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation. You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.
Cremation is an alternative to Earth burial as a form of final disposition. Selecting cremation does not preclude you from having a meaningful ceremony or viewing your loved one.
The charge for a Direct Cremation includes our basic services of funeral director & staff, initial transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home, sheltering of the deceased for a minimum of 48 hours, use of refrigeration facilities, local transportation to the crematory, alternative container*, cremation process without services.

Chuck and his staff were great. They treated us like family, and were so helpful and kind during the entire process. We called him on his cell and he came right over and handled absolutely everything and made an awfully feared experience actually seamlessly calm. He was there to comfort us, pray with us, and guide us through the hardest time of our lives with genuine compassion. Thank you so much.

I cannot say enough positive words about Segal Funeral home! They were amazing throughout the entire process, we walked in after being quoted an obscene amount of $$ from a big chain and even though Chuck wasn't in the office, he spoke to us on speakerphone to give us a verbal estimate on his drive back from the Bushnell Cemetery. And he kept true to his estimate to the penny!! Annnnnd, my dad joked the day of that he would've paid extra to use his vintage Cadillac and Chuck went outside to start waxing his antique! I used them upon referral from 2 friends. I could not have asked for a better team. They are a small funeral home that provided extraordinary service at a time when we were just in a haze. We met them for preplanning and Chuck and Brea were helpful in laying out expectations and finding a resting place. They were very communicative and transparent about our options and costs.
