I went in to get balayage done. Kristian was super friendly and very patient during the 5 hours it took to handle my mane. It didn't quite turn out how I envisioned it but she assured me that if I'm not completely happy with it after washing it for the first time that she will make time for me to come back in. Great service!

I enjoyed my first hair cut at Ryanjacobie. I showed Allen two photos that I was aiming for and he exceeded my expectations.
The hair wash and quality was amazing and the environment was clean and welcoming!
I will definitely call again to make another appointment.

Called in inquiring about a DevaCut for curly haired gals and Ryan answered the phone. He explained that while he doesn't offer the dry-cut style of DevaCuts he does know how to cut curly hair -- I was apprehensive but decided to book an appointment because I was tired of calling around for DevaCuts with no success.
When I went in for my appointment the salon was cute & tidy, Ryan was super personable, and my wash & cut turned out great. I'll definitely be coming back because I'm so happy to find a stylist that serves the range of mixed-ethnicity hair types we have here

he is the CUTEST, most attentive stylist I've ever had! he knew exactly what to do with my hair after explaining what I might like (mind you, i'm the WORST at explaining/deciding what I want). his personality is so outgoing and sweet that it makes the experience so much more fun! and when you're spending hours in a salon getting your hair colored/cut/styled, that's important. no one likes a dull or awkward stylist.
the outcome of my hair was so much more than what I imagined it would be! the dimensions of color were there and every single highlight

Absolutely loved my experience here. I was greeted with friendly smiling faces. Allen was amazing. He listed to exactly what I said and after showing him pictures he explained everything he was going to do in order. I felt very comfortable in his hands. Afterwards my hair was exactly what I was picturing. I definitely recommend this salon, and Allen.

My niece really enjoyed her experience with Ryan. He is humorous and easy to chat with. Even with me. He knows and seems experienced in cutting hair. Even I learned a lot. After not only was she a happy with her cut, she wants to have Ryan cut and style her hair from now on. Even I'm thinking of going.

Because of Chinese New Year coming up, I was yet again forced to cut my hair for good luck. The only good haircut experience I had was with Allen back at his old job location but when I found out he left, I was wondering where would I cut my hair now??? Found this place through Groupon a few years ago. Since discovering this place I haven't gone anywhere else. They have quite the selection of services. From makeup, hair & coloring, & barber services as well.
A great atmosphere where the staff is amazing & welcoming.
With my hair cuts I've gotten the sugar scrub & conditioning treatment(s). Which ever one you choose you'll receive the most amazing head massage (knocks me out for a good minute) and will leave you feeling soo relaxed.
Thankful that Ryan works his magic to revive my hair & keeps me looking youthful

About the salon: I love that it's only a few blocks from my office and in Chinatown. The small space creates a personal vibe between the customer and stylist, and everything seemed clean and organized. Getting my hair washed in the salon's dimly lit room provided a relaxing, spa-like experience.
About the stylist: Allen was my stylist, and I couldn't be more grateful that he was, especially given 1) my first time at the salon, and 2) my first time in over a year of cutting off several inches of my hair. He immediately understood the kind of look I was going for, he was informative

LOVE THIS SALON. Always recommend Allen I started my hair journey with Allen about 2 years ago and that's when he was currently at another salon *will not be named lol* now he's here slaying hair. After years of box dying my hair I finally got my hair dyed professionally and I'm so glad I went with Allen. Literally ever since I've gotten my hair done I would get none stop compliments, we've done literally almost every color and I trust only him ! I've gone here twice now and have gotten a haircuts, color and a conditioning treatment. I've had Debi and Allen do my hair and both did a tremendous job.
Previously I've only had one person do my hair for over 10 years but she lives on Kauai so in my search for a hairstylist on Oahu I was a tad nervous. Tried other salons but I just didn't get that OMG MY HAIR LOOKS AMAZING feeling.
Coming here was the best hair decision. I feel like they just get me and suggest what's best for my hair. I leave there feeling like a million bucks.

I've been doing my hair with Siera at Ryan Jacobie Salon for over a year now. I never know what I want to do to my hair but she's helped me transform from having boring, unhealthy, box-dyed hair to being a healthy blonde! Go make an appointment with her if you want to try more vibrant colors! Ryanjacobie is a small salon kind of hidden away. If you don't see the small sign, you'll probably walk past it.
If you are looking for parking, there's a parking lot nearby, but I'm not too sure about the price. If you're taking the bus, you can take Bus 2 or 13 and get off at Smith street.
I got a Groupon that came with a conditioning and a haircut. The staff was really sweet. Ryan especially was super sweet.
We had such a good time chatting with each other, I found out he was a teacher at Paul Mitchell.

The Owner Ryan is just as sweet as can be. I had a great time with him. I had some unwanted tones to my hair from the previous hairdresser at this salon and he gave me beautiful lowlights and highlights to make the perfect natural look. If you are looking to have natural blonde hair then go see Ryan. He truly did magic on my hair. Ryan gives good head (massage) too!! Go see The Color Genius!! You will be more than pleased.

I saw one of their staff who was a recent graduate but not tier 1 or whatever they call their most professional staff, so maybe I got what I paid for, but she acted like it was her first time ever cutting haole hair. She did what most people do when they don't know how to cut fine (as in not thick) white girl hair... She washed it first. Most stylists know to cut it dry, then wash it.

Today was my first time coming to Ryanjacobie Salon and I loved it. :) The staff was really nice. The hairstylist (Ashley) that was appointed to me had the cutest and kindest personality.
I had a few inches of my hair trimmed off and requested side bangs. Ashley washed my hair, blow dried it, and curled it with such tenderness. I was afraid the price would be way too much for my likings but it surprisingly came out to a reasonable price. I just found my go-to hair salon. Definitely will recommend to my friends!
