Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable.
I had my first massage today with Mr. Bowman. I have had many massages over the years, at many different places and I must say this was by far the absolute best! Mr. Bowman takes the time to get to know you and what your needs are, and totally applies them to make you feel comfortable, and well taken care of.

My session with Donald was everything I had hoped it would be. I had a massage and a reiki session with him. I had never done reiki before and was unsure of what it would be like and he exceeded my expectations. It truly felt as if this man was moving and releasing energy from my body. The massage was extremely relaxing and he couldn’t have made me feel more comfortable. I highly recommended this man and all of the services he offers! I’m looking forward to rebooking very soon!

I had a great experience with Don. I had a tight shoulder, and he found lots of little muscles causing my problem. He listened carefully to my goals for the session and my injury history. I left feeling much much better than when I arrived.
His massage practice is not typical. He's blind (which I think is actually an advantage), and his house is modified so that there's a separate entrance directly into his home studio. (Check out the video on his website.)

I have gone to see Donald a number of times so far and have been very impressed each and every time. He is very skilled as well as thorough, he is also a great conversationalist. If you are a fan of massage I am sure you will appreciate the little things that he does to make his clients comfortable. If you are new to massage, or are on the fence about trying something new, I would highly recommend giving Donald a call. His reviews speak for themselves, he does great work and his rates are very fair, you really can't ask for more.

I have been going to Don Bowman to get a wonderful massage for many years. He puts you at ease and you leave feeling refreshed and ready for another day. Don is a very kind, spiritual, caring man. There are not words that can accurately describe how pleased I have been with every massage that I have received. My very first appointment with Mr. Bowman was March 27, 2009 and I continue to have frequent appointments.
I refer to his massages as "THE BEST IN THE MID-WEST"
He genuinely cares about making sure that you are satisfied with his services. Over the course of 25 years I have been to at least six or seven massage therapists

Just about everyone in my family goes to Don, and we each have different needs. His knowledge of the human body is better than any therapist I have ever used. He understands both the muscular and skeletal systems and how they work together. He is able to merge this scientific knowledge with the psychology of stress and how it affects the body, making for a very holistic approach to therapy. I first met Don around 30 years ago. My husband purchased a gift certificate for me as a gift. I was not sure what to expect, but soon found out that I had experienced one of the best massage therapist in the area! I have since experienced many types of body massages, both in and out of this country, and Don is definitely one of the most skillful therapists I have met. I had another wonderful massage today! I always enjoy my visit to Don's massage room. The massages are very thorough and very relaxing. I could easily just fall asleep while I'm there. I like the fact that each massage is geared toward how I am feeling that day, or what areas are giving me trouble. I also enjoy the conversations we have during the massage, Don is very easy to talk to. He makes you feel very comfortable. If your looking for a massage, I highly recommend Don.
