ISKA SPORT MMA is a light-contact version of Mixed Martial Arts that adheres to ISKA rules and regulations. Sport MMA provides competitors with an opportunity to use many of the same techniques associated with traditional MMA, including; strikes, throws, takedowns, grappling and submissions applied safely with light or semi-contact.
This will be strictly enforced (no damaging strikes or slams). The format for our Sport MMA competition is additionally designed to allow each and every competitor the opportunity to gain as much experience as possible with the risk of getting knocked out. Everyone from men, women, teens and kids and all experience levels from beginner to advanced can compete in World Sport MMA.

Q: What if I cannot compete? A: You MUST inform us in advance if you cannot compete and your entry fee will be credited to a future event. If you fail to inform us in advance, your entry fee will be lost. Q: If I am a professional fighter can I compete? A: Yes.
Just like in a grappling tournament, because this is a light contact tournament where no one is trying to knock each other out and because no one is being paid a professional would be able to compete in the advanced division.

ISKA Sport MMA provides competitors with an opportunity to use many of the same techniques associated with MMA, including; strikes, throws, shoots, grappling and submissions applied safely with light or semi-contact.
Competition should be executed as its name implies, Light Contact Fighting in a Continuous Manner. Under no circumstances should light contact continuous fighting simulates full contact kickboxing. Utilizing well-controlled techniques, ring craftsmanship and combination skills, competitors should attempt to "outscore" rather than "overpower" their opponent.
