Robatel Technologies was established in 2009 as the US subsidiary of Robatel SA. We are in charge of Robatel's development of the American Nuclear market. We specialize in design and fabrication of transportation and storage casks, hot cells, glove boxes, metallic structures, waste processing systems, and neutron shielding.
Additionally, we design turn-key process lines comprised of multiple systems for unique applications. Robatel has provided engineering services since 1830, and has embraced the nuclear field since 1953. Our technical capabilities include engineering design and calculations, regulatory approval expertise, fabrication, testing, and site operations.

Services
Robatel is one of Europe's largest cask fabricators for radioactive materials, nuclear medicine, radioactive wastes, and fresh and spent nuclear fuel. We have designed and manufactured over 1000 Type A, Type B, and IP2 casks. Our casks range from small nuclear medicine packages to large spent fuel transportation packages.
Robatel has over 60 years of experience designing and fabricating hot cells for nuclear applications. Our hot cells are used for material research, isotope production, and nuclear medicine. Since 1998, Robatel has completed 36 different hot cell projects. These projects include small single-box cells, large cells with multiple boxes, complex lines with automatic transference from cell to cell, and renovation of existing equipment.
Robatel offers custom-designed and fabricated glove boxes - typically complex systems integrating other process equipment. We focus primarily in waste processing and manipulation of irradiated materials and radioisotopes. Our glove boxes may include lead paneling with lead glass and remote handling tools such as tongs and manipulators.
While operating in the nuclear industry since 1953, Robatel has developed materials and fabrication processes for gamma and neutron shielding. Robatel operates 3 lead foundries with a capacity of several thousand tons per year. Parts range from a few kilograms to more than 20 tons. With over 50 years of lead working experience, we have developed proprietary techniques to minimize gaps, resulting in a consistent lead pour.
In many cases, our customers have a specialized need for a single-purpose application. These projects cannot be realized with off-the-shelf equipment. Robatel has an extensive history of designing custom equipment and process lines for specific applications. For many of these projects, equipment must be integrated into part of an existing process line.
