I am a solo practitioner in Topsfield, MA, concentrating my practice in divorce and family law. I have over 30 years of experience serving clients in all areas of family law. I have practiced in the Massachusetts courts since 1986 and in the New Hampshire courts since 2004.

Attorney Pontisakos has experience in handling a variety of complex divorce issues, including issues involving complex income issues and the division of assets.
In Massachusetts and New Hampshire, both parents have an obligation to support their children. Both states have child support guidelines that apply to most matters related to the financial maintenance of children. The laws of Massachusetts and the laws of New Hampshire are significantly different regarding child support.
Cases involving your children, whether divorce, paternity, guardianship or other related family law actions, often center around concerns about the time children spend with parents, each other or extended family. Rather than custody, many jurisdictions use terms such as "primary" or "shared residence."

I highly recommend Attorney Demetra Pontisakos for any family law matter. I first met Demetra when she was an attorney for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. Demetra has that rare ability to be really good as a negotiator/peace maker and as a trial attorney. In negotiations she is committed to resolution and not ego games or attacking the opposing attorney or client. In court, she is direct and to the point. I have noticed the subtle, but present, attention (and respect) judges show her when she speaks.
