Services
Christie's background is in medicine. She has a medical degree and did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In recent years she has focused on gynecology with postmenopausal women and geriatrics. She is also interested in Integrative Medicine with its focus on prevention of disease with nutrition and exercise.
Loneliness is associated with worsening illness and a shorter life expectancy especially in the elderly and disabled. This is associated with loss of purpose and meaning in one's life. It also increases the risk of people developing depression and then may be at risk for developing dementia. Companionship care is helpful to combat loneliness and meaninglessness and thus depression and possible dementia.
We care for people who are frail and fragile. This comes from decreased activity with muscle weakness and thinning of bones. A Spectrum of Care provides showers, light housekeeping as well as food preparation and companionship. Other neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease, strokes, Multiple Sclerosis and others have different needs that can be cared for be A Spectrum of Care.

As Director of Operations for Spectrum Home Care in Sioux Falls and A Spectrum of Care in Fargo, my mission is to establish a great work experience for my employees while at the same time serve our clients with respect and the best care they deserve. I came to Spectrum with 15+years of Business Management experience joined by 10+ years of Case Management in the Social Services Area.

The Spectrum caregiver that was contracted to care for one of my family members yesterday called and canceled her shift just 3 hours before her agreed upon start time.
No alternative provider or solution was suggested by Spectrum.
For example, in lieu of Spectrum not having a fill in for the caregiver cancellation, they could have contacted other area providers to check for availability on caregivers that could fill Spectrum’s cancellation.
