The cost of a home inspection is very small relative to the value of the house being inspected. And - you want a home inspector with long experience! By the way, Jay Markanich does not want the reputation of being the "cheapest" home inspector out there. He doesn't feel that's a good place to be. And Jay performs a thermal imaging sweep of the house FREE at every inspection.
And every relevant thermal image captured during the inspection is included in the report. Jay Markanich, with 39 years experience, is determined to perform home inspections of the upmost quality, and with integrity. Jay works to make sure that you will know and understand every relevant fact about the property you are purchasing.

What is it? Thermography measures surface temperatures or "sees" density by using infrared video or camera settings. It is essentially "FLIR" technology (Forward Looking Infrared Radar)similar to what is used in military applications on helicoptors. An inspection in the home is quick and definitive.
This is an example of a page from our book, YOUR HOUSE, YOUR HOME. We are proud of it and happy to give it free with every inspection. The book makes our home inspection report very complete. Together with the report, YOUR HOUSE, YOUR HOME, helps every home buyer able to completely evaluate a purchase right after the inspection.

The numbers you see are references into our book. They indicate the chapter, section and paragraph. For example, 1C.44 would indicate chapter 1, section C, paragraph 44. This is all very clear once the book is received. The report can be accompanied or followed by photos, particularly when the item photographed is unusual or the client is out of town and not present at the inspection.
