Oaklands Restaurant & Marina is a waterfront destination that has been a Summer staple for 30 years. Our family-owned and operated, full-service restaurant, bar and marina is located at the end of Dune Road, adjacent to the Shinnecock Inlet in Hampton Bays, NY. With the latest CDC and NYS guidelines regarding masks; as long as you are fully vaccinated you are not required to wear masks indoors or out.
Although we ask that you abide by this rule if you are not. The safety of our customers and staff is very important to us. Please do what you are most comfortable with and if you would like our staff to have a mask while attending to your table, that is absolutely fine. With capacity still at 75% all tables are spaced 6 feet apart.

The most pleasant dining experience I have ever had. Service was top notch,menue was awesome. Food was DELICIOUS!!!! Price was reasonable. This is mine and my girls ...SPECIAL place I asked her to marry me across the street on the beach. That's how much we love this place. I would recommend it to anyone.

I was wonderful. The location is a bit remote that makes it even more charming. We vee been there on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the bar eith live music and oyster. Oyster were served with the typical red horseradish saice, additionally served with garlic and jalapeños. Bar gives a noce view on the sundowner, mostly locals around. The restaurant served us shrimp, lobster and swordfish. All dishes took forever to get it. But it was worth the wait. Excellent quality. Downside. Pricy, full dozen oysters are around $ 35 😬

We ordered takeout. They had the food ready on-time and right when we arrived. Unfortunately, when we ate the food 30 minutes later, it was disappointing. The littleneck clams were gritty (and probably needed to be purged more thoroughly). The calamari was okay. And the “local fluke” smelled fishy and doesn’t seem very fresh. Their cherrystone clams were pretty good though.
I had hoped that at least one of the dishes would be wonderful, excellent, or otherwise positively noteworthy, but the food was only okay. Perhaps the dining-in experience would be better, but this review is just about

Dinner for 2 on Monday. The place is beautiful with a great view. Staff was excellent. But our meals were disappointing. Shrimp was tough. Scallops were flavorless but the rice ball and sauce was ok. The clam chowder tasted like flower and potatoes. Lot of clams but no flavor at all. It needed seasoning !! Was it a bad day for the chef ? In fairness it was a full house. Could have been the exception.
But honestly now I would hesitate to take a guest with an educated pallet there.

Beautiful setting, as always. Food is not as good as it used to be. Food is consistently just okay now. And why they don't offer rolls or bread, or have baked potatoes on the menu is beyond me! Live music is always fun. Haven't seen Stephanie Oakland lately but she is a sweetheart and very easy to work with if you hold an event there.

I ate at Oakland's last night with my wife and we ordered lobster and mussels. The food was great and we were given free fish as Oakland's had a surplus catch. They fed us Mako shark, oysters and Ulua fish from Hawaii for free. We left a 100$ tip for the nice gesture and we are going back tonight after we finish surfing.

We received a gift certificate here and we're excited to use it. We came on a Saturday for lunch, around 1 pm.
They have a huge beautiful deck which swerves around with plenty of seating. It fills up quickly. We opted to eat inside by a window.
My husband ordered a special, the soft shell crab. It was huge! It was so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was perfectly seasoned and he loved it. I enjoyed the chef's tacos which consisted of shrimp, salmon and swordfish, peppers and corn. It was so very good. They serve it with warm corn tortillas, which I think

Started the weekend with a nice fancy July 4th weekend wedding... but nothing would prepare me for a July 5th holiday with Tommy at Oakland's.
I spent a good 4 hours listening to live music and Tommy never let me see the bottom of the glass. If you want top notch service, excellent views, and the best atmosphere around come to Oakland's.
I won't even mention the food but you need to try it for yourself.

My second time here and it was fantastic. Spent some time at the bar while waiting to be seated, and the drinks were delicious. Note this place does not take reservations, so expect to wait on a weekend.
We had the calamari and shrimp quesadillas for starters. For entree, we ordered the local fluke, seared tuna, mediterranean swordfish, scallops, and halibut. Everything was delicious.
We were celebrating a birthday and left very satisfied with the service and food! Highly recommend.

The smell of fresh sea breeze and the sunset views cannot be beat. Service was very good and the food delicious to match. I would definitely recommend checking it out for ambiance and bar alone.
We came for the lobster bake which happens every Monday and Tuesday in the summer. It came with a steamed lobster, soup or salad, and shrimp/mussels as well as corn on the cob. It was quite good! We also had a couple of drinks that complimented the food nicely. See for yourself!

Used to love this place - a little pricey for Hampton Bays but the food and service were well worth it. We celebrated a lot of occasions here and it was a mainstay of the "tour" for out of town guests.
The location is amazing and the deck has the best views around. The outdoor bar has a great party scene and wonderful sunset views. We love to get a cocktail and sit on the patio in the evening - now a traditional summer kickoff ritual.

Came for dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed. It's a nice nautically decorated restaurant right by the water, so as expected, they specialize in seafood. Since the place was packed, we had a bit of a wait before we were seated.
Our orders were taken shortly after being seated, and it was good. For an appetizer, we tried the calamari. It was crispy on the outside with tender squid on the inside. We came here for the Lobster Bash deal and were very satisfied with our experience. We ordered Oysters appetizer which were very fresh and tasty. Then we started off the special with the Clam Chowder. It was my first clam chowder so I'll be honest I don't have a good frame of reference but I really liked it. We were in the Hampton Bay Area and wanted to enjoy waterfront dining , might as well since the weather is still beautiful... originally we were supposed to go to sundays on the bay which is in the same area but when we arrived we didn't like the rowdy crowd and thought Oakland's looked nicer so we went in and had a 40 min wait which isn't so bad since it's beautifully located by the water .

Labor Day lunch!!
Always love coming here for a summer lunch outdoors.
We started with a dozen clams on half shell each and fried calamari for my son ( as his meal).
My main was salmon avacado toast. AMAZING!!! Hoping I can recreate it at home.
My husband had the shrimp po boy and he loved it as well.

Today I went to Oakland's for lunch with my family. The staff was very friendly and kind. We sat down and the first thing you notice is the beautiful view of the boats in the water. I started off with the berry lemonade to drink and it was so refreshing. I had the crab cake as a starter and it was so flavorful. The stuffed lobster was super yummy, it's stuff with shrimps, scallops, and breadcrumbs. Everyone thought that the food was delicious and we had no complaints. I would recommend to try this place but beware of paying a little more.

With the summer season nearing it's end here in The Hamptons, you could never tell here at Oakland's Restaurant.
Our two hour Thursday night wait for a table was screaming this is the "Heigth of the Season" territory!
With two complete bars, inside and outside dining areas and a parking lot that could accommodate a Yankee's game, this place was hopping.
I thought to myself that either this place is really good or these happy New Yorkers are getting their last licks in before the season changes.
My conclusion after eating here was it was a little of both.
