As cities and communities continue to grow, there is a constant need for upgraded or new transportation systems. These systems, made up of roadways, bridges and bicycle/ pedestrian pathways, affect the quality of life experienced by the patrons of each community. New or upgraded systems also drive economic growth by providing businesses easy access in and out of the community and surrounding regions.
HMB has been providing roadway design services throughout the region for several decades. Our engineers have been involved extensively in the development of interstate highways, parkways, toll roads, and other urban and rural roadways throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama and West Virginia.
Before constructing a new road, widening an existing road, or putting in new water lines, you must first acquire the land to do so. Sometimes it's a small piece of farmland that needs to be acquired, and in other cases, a family's home or a business. We understand the sensitive nature of this process and do everything we can to make it easy on the property owner.
A major feature HMB is able to offer is having our own survey division. HMB's Survey Division has collected field data for roadway, structures, airport, land development, sanitary sewer collection lines, water distribution lines, stream restoration and storm drainage projects.
Our survey crew has experience using both conventional and GPS survey equipment and have completed boundary surveys, topographical surveys, ALTA surveys, route surveys, environmental surveys and construction staking surveys.
