The company was founded in 1992 by Richard Ouzts as EPIC Engineering and Design. In 1997, John Allen joined with Richard Ouzts to incorporate the company as EPIC Engineering, Inc., with Richard Ouzts as President and managing partner and John Allen as Vice-President.

Services
Mr. Tempel is the President and senior mechanical engineer for EPIC Engineering Solutions whose background includes all aspects of mechanical design and construction project management. His design experience has included use of computer-assisted design programs, including ESP-II, HAP 4.2 Heating/Cooling Load and Energy Analysis, Trace Trane Load analysis, AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, and various fan and pump selection programs.
Mr. Kramer is a senior mechanical designer and production/project manager whose background includes many aspects of mechanical design and construction project management. Mr. Kramer has designed and prepared construction documents for HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, industrial process piping and petroleum process piping.

We have designed many high-end residences in the Charleston, South Carolina area, throughout the Southeast, and on the island of St. Kitts. These projects range from new construction to renovations of historic structures. When we are part of the project team, we meet with the owners to determine their desires and formulate the owners' project requirements.
