At The Legacy at Green Hills, we take the stress out of wedding planning. We offer various options to have your wedding, right in the heart of Kansas City. We are located on 38 beautiful acres, lined with trees and a small lake. We boast an amazing house, from 1912, that allows you to spend the day getting ready in a convenient setting.
You can have your wedding anywhere on the property, but we do have a designated ceremony site. We also have plenty of parking, a brick patio, and helpful staff. Most venues simply offer the use of their space. We offer more than that - you describe the ideal day and we'll help you get to that point.

Our facility, which was completely redesigned for comfort and convenience. You can spend the day getting ready in luxury, with the option to spend the night on-site! Legacies that matter are connected with people. A hundred years from now all that will matter is the people that you connected with in such a way that you added value and meaning to their lives.
In order to tour our venue, you must have an appointment. You can call 816-204-1629 or email events@thelegacyatgreenhills.com to schedule a time to visit. Tours are given all days of the week, depending on availability. Yes, we provide you a list of vendors we recommend but you choose who you want to work with.
The Legacy at Green Hills is not only a great destination for weddings but also the perfect spot for any type of party. Overnight stays are a great option and provide the experience of a "destination wedding" right in Kansas City. An overnight stay the night before your wedding allows you do to your rehearsal, set up decorations, and spend the night with your bridal party.

What a phenomenal venue!! If you’re looking for an outdoor ceremony that has a gorgeous indoor alternative (in the event that weather gets dicey, or just for the reception) you’ve found the spot! We had so many compliments about how beautiful the entire day was- from getting ready in the house on the property, to the ceremony, to the reception! Alex helped support us from day one- coordinating with us on our vendors, the décor rentals, everything. She helped make this a smooth process and we couldn’t have asked for a better setup on our wedding day! It had everything we wanted, and was truly

Ugh. I could rave about Alex & her venue FOREVER. Planning a wedding is no joke, and planning a wedding during Covid is really no joke. Alex made the process a BREEZE. We changed our wedding date, but she was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. I want to be her friend even after all of our wedding celebrations are done 😂 She was so kind, accommodating, and proactive. She truly went above and beyond to make our day special. From setting up extra chairs to give our guests the ability to spread out to make themselves comfortable to putting yard games out when we didn’t even ask

We had our wedding of ~190 guests in July 2018. It was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, Alex (owner) made the entire process seamless. I couldn't recommend a venue more highly. The farmhouse is gorgeous, staying overnight and getting ready with the bridal party was unforgettable. The natural beauty of the space is breathtaking. We got so many compliments from our incredibly satisfied wedding guests. The grounds are perfect for taking photos. Alex bent over backwards to make sure everything was great and she was excellent with communicating her expectations and she was extremely accommodating
