Overall, the quality of the meal was very high. The service was good too, buy nothing out of the ordinary. Also, the ambiance was very nice. We went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy at all. The price of the meals seem relatively pricey but not outrageous, so be prepared to spend a few dollars more for a tasty meal.

Really disappointed. I had ordered delivery for my family of 4 and was then after the fact was told they wouldn't deliver. No where on the website does it say the limitations of their delivery. That would have been appreciated. Instead my family took the time to look at the menu, go through the process, ordered and was eagerly waiting to only be told "we don't deliver" with absolutely no apology.

I needed to go to the pet shop in Brookdale to pick up an item, and then decided to walk back to the center of town via Broad street. I also had ever intention of having lunch, and looked through the window of one of my favorite restaurant called Pandang. Howeve they looked super busy, and I kept walking. I arrived in front of Momoya which looked empty. The young hostess told me I could sit anywhere, and then a very nice waitress came to give me the menu. Good food for a good price. Takeout and pick up takes forever, and I'm not sure why. It is BYOB and service when dining in is really friendly. This is our casual go to local sushi spot when we want to go out without having to dress up.

Nice place. We dined in and everything looked clean and sanitary. Social distancing is being followed here and employees are masked up. We had Tuna roll, California roll, and Spider roll with a fried gyoza appetizer. Everything tasted fresh and good. Interior is pretty and has some nice Japanese mural artwork on the wall. Reasonable prices. Will come again.

Best sushi !!!have been going to Momoya for 18 years!!! It has never disappointed! If you want great quality fresh & delicious, this is the sushi place for you! Staff is courteous & friendly! Absolutely love it!

I found this place by accident and it's now my new favorite sushi place. Their rolls (in my opinion) are larger/better stuffed than anywhere else. Fresh rice, fresh fish, and it tastes incredible. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, always ready and on time whether ordering for delivery or pick up. I have a new ritual on Thursdays where I treat myself to 2 spicy tuna rolls. Pretty sure they'll know me by name soon enough lol

Momoya in Bloomfield, NJ is one of our favorite sushi spots. Went there yesterday for a birthday celebration. The staff are always pleasant and the food is awesome! The sushi chefs make great tasting rolls and make great presentations on your plate (see pics)! Always a nice, pleasant experience here! If inclined, BYOB.

Used to drop in for a bubble tea before getting my nails done pre-Covid, but wanted to order good sushi and bubble tea in Montclair. There was just nothing available le. Kung fu tea just looked complicated and kind of pricey - it also didn't have the honey dew flavor I was craving. Got on their website and ordered some amazing sushi rolls and two bubble teas and all was right in the world. I recommend the lunch special 3 rolls, soup and salad. The specialty rolls were all beautiful and tasty. Very good deal!

They took over 30 minutes to serve us, they had the raw yellowtail hand roll and another sushi roll just sitting there until they were done, then they served us spoiled ginger that smelled like dirty rag and my sister had to spit it out. Left hungry & Completely Dissatisfied.

Pre covid, ate here maybe 4-5 times. Sushi is good and appreciate their no rice options. They offer bubble tea as well. Their cooked food is also tasty and presentation is always nice. The downfall is take out. I ordered take out recently and they said it will be ready in 20-30 mins. Got there at 30 mins and it was an additional 35+ minutes. There was maybe 2 other people that picked up food in the first 5 mins that I waited and no one else came, so it's not like it was busy. I want to say it was because I paid when I got there instead of over the phone. As if they didn't start the order

I have been coming here for years, and never had any issue. Recently, I ordered take out and was shocked. There was a terrible odor that smacked me in the face as soon as I opened the container. I realized it was the ginger - it smelled like a wet towel! The sushi wasn't fresh at all, and actually made me nauseas.

Deep Blue Roll is the way to go.

We ordered take out from here today and were very happy with everything we got, but the deep blue roll stood out. We will order from here again--it's our new fave in the area, better than the place across the street.

I don't know why it took me so long to write this review because I've been a regular for YEARS - Momoya is truly the best sushi spot. My go to order is the three roll lunch special (complete with miso soup and salad). *chef's kiss* to the Yellowtail roll. Their specialty rolls and sashimi are also bomb. I love how much effort they put into presentation and that it's a family owned business. Momoya never disappoints!!

Good food. Love all the rolls and sushi we ordered. Price was right for the food. Service was good for our group of 5. Food presentation was wonderful. Hat's off to the chief. Friendly and very professional staff. Love the place, forgot to take a picture of the wall with Japanese paintings.

I would eat a Chicken Katsu bento box every Friday until I got very sick.
I could swear, and still do, that it was from cold or old Shumai.
Don't order at this place past 7pm because they must make everything in the morning and just leave it.
I have never gone back and will never go back.

Favorite local sushi place that I've found in my area so far. Sushi tastes very fresh and the prices are reasonable! Have been here a few times now and haven't been disappointed. Paradise roll was my favorite!

This place is so fresh and good. We had the Mexican roll,
Christmas tree, Dynamite and Mango Hawaii and I would order it all again so delicious and filling and fresh.

The service is a little slow since they stress presentation but it is worth the wait!

Came here for lunch the day after Xmas. It was not too busy. There was free holiday street parking when we were there. There was five of us and got seated quickly.

We ordered a lot of food which made the wait like forever. We ordered the salmon spring rolls and soft shell crabs as our apps. We shared the love boat, and 6 other sushi rolls.

The staff was very slow. We had to ask for chop sticks. Then had to ask for napkins after getting chopsticks. When the sushi came out we had to ask for the soy sauce dish.

Came here on a Friday night after we couldn't get a table at Wabi Sabi. It was somewhat busy so we thought it should be worth a shot since it also had a good rating on yelp. we got a table near the front which was nice. The decor was pretty interesting. It had a artsy yet homey type of feel to it which was interesting.

I love coming here. The sushi is consistent and the service is beyond great. Usually come here in the afternoon. I can honestly say out of all of the times I've came, the place was filled with people only once. The chefs are creative and make sure the sushi is presented in the best way possible.

Went here for restaurant week with a friend yesterday. The lunch pre-fixed menu included soup, salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert.

I had their house salad, miso soup, shrimp tempura for appetizer, spicy tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, and a shrimp tempura roll for my entree, and mango mochi for dessert.

Everything was delicious. I'll definitely be returning.

Food - 4/5. The salad has a nice ginger dressing and the miso soup's broth is mellow. However there are some seaweed in the miso soup that has the strong brackish ocean water flavor, which really throws off your taste buds. The sushi and sashimi are presented beautifully and has the refreshing, fresh taste of quality fish. Spicy tuna roll had good flavor and little bits of crunch. However, the California rolls are way too loaded with cucumber! It almost tastes like a salad with over 50% of the filling being cucumber and worse yet is that they are the finely shredded

The food is amazing and the ingredients are really fresh. The presentation is impressive. Many of the sushi dishes come with little castles on the plate and such. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. It's BYOB. And it's even moderately priced. We love this place!
