Services
Our animal hospital values work ethic and integrity. Each of our team members recognizes the value of teamwork and stands by their word. We're willing to work hard, be coached, and do whatever is needed to provide the best experience possible for our clients. If you are dedicated to serving animals and being part of a team, you might be a good fit!
I brought my little boy in in December to have him neutered & when I picked him up that afternoon he was in good spirits & when we got home it was as if nothing had ever happened to him! In fact I'm bringing in another baby of mine for the same procedure & I highly recommend CVAC to anyone & I know that I can bring any of my babies in & they'll be taking care of.
A truly healthy pet needs more than a balanced diet and an active lifestyle. At Cahaba Valley Animal Clinic, our approach to pet health is rooted in taking preventive action. We aim to protect your pet from harmful bacteria, parasites, and infectious diseases with the help of regular check-ups, preventatives, and a full understanding of their health, habits, and lifestyle.
Pet vaccinations (immunizations) can help fortify your pet's immune system against infectious, and sometimes life-threatening, diseases. To best protect Birmingham's dogs, cats, and even people from infection, we recommend having pets vaccinated on a regular schedule at every life stage. With a regular immunization schedule, your pet will be better equipped in case of exposure to diseases such as rabies, parvovirus, distemper, and influenza.
You may have heard that dogs' mouths are cleaner than human mouths, but that doesn't mean they don't need regular dental check-ups! Dogs and cats should get a dental exam about once or twice a year, just like humans. While dental care is essential to your pet's overall health, it can be challenging to implement a routine.

I am not sure why I have never taken the time to leave a review here, but these people so deserve it. Both of our pups go to this location! Every. Single. One. Of the receptions and techs are just lovely and caring and LOVE my babies. Niko, the westie, is friendly to all, but my scottie is standoffish with strangers yet he never was with these people. That tells me a lot.
A couple of years ago, my westie gave us quite the scare. He is 13 years old and he had a bad bout of what seemed like pancreatitis (all tests showed that he didn't but he had every symptom.) He had to stay with them for about

These vets and their wonderful staff have taken care of our sidekicks for years. In good times and sad times, their compassion is unsurpassed. Our recent pack addition is a Bengal. They have the expertise to handle all shapes and sizes.

I foster kittens from the humane society that are too little or too sick to be adopted yet. I live right next to this clinic, but have never been in and was not a customer/patient.
One night, in December, I had a kitten on the verge of death from dehydration.
After getting medical supplies from the humane society, I discovered that one of the tools needed to use the life saving fluids was missing from my items. Since it was rush hour it would take at least 1 1/2 hours to go back for the stuff.
I called Cahaba Valley in a desperate panic. When I explained the situation and begged them to borrow
