Blood tests are an essential part of diagnosing what is ailing your pet, just as they are in human medicine. Blood tests can tell the veterinarian a myriad of things, from whether your pet is dehydrated to whether he or she has anemia to whether your cat or dog is suffering from cancer. Red blood cells are used to determine a number of factors.
Fleas and ticks are more than just a nuisance. They can make your pet extremely uncomfortable and cause several different types of illnesses, like flea allergy dermatitis and tapeworm infestations. Animal Hospital Of Katy can evaluate your pet to determine the best type of flea prevention medication.
According to a recent report released by the American Humane Society, animal shelters across the country euthanize 2.4 million healthy dogs and cats each year due to pet overpopulation. No one steps forward to adopt these animals in the organization's time limit and a staff member has to euthanize him or her to make room for other homeless pets.
Furry family members mean almost as much to you as their human counterparts - if not just as much. Why wouldn't you, therefore, give them all the same tools to live long, stay strong and experience maximum health? Of course you would, and vaccines are an inescapable part of any pet health plan. They help animals fight disease before it takes hold, and keep pet populations as a whole safe from infection.

Dr. Karen Euers is an amazing vet and always a pleasure to visit. She took great care of my dog. In his senior years when he had more health issues she always made sure to take care of the problem without any unnecessary procedures or unnecessary spending. I fully trusted my pup in her hands.

Dr. K is the best vet in town. Her and her staff are so considerate and kind. You know your pet is in great hands and that they genuinely care for the well-being of your furry family members. Highly recommend them to anyone in the Houston area - I drive in from the Galleria and it’s definitely worth it!

This is the only vet I take my fur baby since moving to the Houston TX area approximately 3 yrs ago. They do an excellent job with her care and if it weren't for Dr. Karen...I could have lost her after she got sick at a boarding facility that shall remain nameless but is located in the Pecan Grove area. I really should have hired lawyers and sued, but I was just so happy at how quickly Dr. Karen advised me of her condition and we got her well! I thank Dr. Karen and the entire staff at Animal Hospital of Katy and so does Ginger!
