Our expert engineering staff thrives off the challenge of solving problems and has fun doing it. Get to know the team. Chad founded Root3 Labs in 2012 and has over two decades of product design experience. At home and at work, he enjoys making stuff and voiding warranties and couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Half of our office is a workshop - we love building prototypes. This allows us to do almost real-time analysis of concepts. Some prototypes are very rough, some quite refined, but at every stage of the process, we're fabricating prototypes to test hypotheses and demonstrate feasibility. We often get asked if we've designed such and so device or worked with a specific technology. We have many decades of collective experience, yet most of the time, the answer is No. Our expertise is the process of solving challenging problems, not applying the same solution from one problem to another.

Root3 Labs was key in bringing to market a pharmaceutical flavoring and water dispenser. They addressed several defects that another company was responsible for assisting us in a successful launch. Their team was always very flexible even with last minute meetings and a very demanding workload given our needs to get to market fast. They were like an extension of the company, making project management seamless. Had we used them from the start we would have likely been to market several years sooner. Though I have left the pharmaceutical company to pursue my own I would most certainly hire Root3

Medtech start-up founder speaking. Chad and his team were able to redesign and convert an in-house tool we developed into a production-ready design and manufacturing package. As a biomedical engineer myself, but without manufacturing expertise, I can vouch that their design talent is solid and the work is thorough.

If it were possible to give a negative star I would. I had a call scheduled with them at 11 am and received my call at 3:30 pm. IT ONLY GOT WORSE FROM THERE! The gentleman was rude and did not listen to what was said. I felt that I was not listened to nor cared about while on the phone. I was then told a prototype would be 10's of thousand of dollars. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I have money but am not paying to deal with a company of this caliber.

Really happy with the work done by Root3 for our company's smart baby product. They gave us accurate budget estimates, took the time to communicate their thought process throughout the project and presented us with alternatives before moving forward.
