Services
Dr. James T. Henley was raised in Barberton, Ohio and is one of four siblings. He attended Bowling Green State University for his undergraduate degree and went on to graduate from Ohio State University School of Dentistry. Shortly after earning his Doctorate, he spent two years in the United States Navy serving as a dentist in San Diego and Okinawa, Japan with the 3rd Marine Division.
At James T. Henley D.D.S. we offer complete dental services in a warm and friendly environment. We understand the anxieties that many people experience when faced with the dentist's chair, so we work hard to prove those anxieties unfounded. We do this by striving to make every appointment as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
Dr. James Henley recommends getting your child in for a pediatric dental appointment when their first tooth starts to come through or before they turn one. This will hopefully put them to ease before their first visit. For a young child receiving their first tooth, the best thing to do is take a soft toothbrush and brush the emerging tooth or teeth with little or no toothpaste.
Dr. Henley settled into Rohnert Park back in 1977 and within a short time he began volunteering his time and resources to the community he called home. Over the years his participation with community affairs has grown to include much of Sonoma County as well as his continuing work within Rohnert Park.

I've been working with Doctor Henley since I had braces. I originally went to a chain orthodontist to get my braces. I started having issues with this business and because of the problems I was having I switched to a new Dentist. He's been great. I've had two root canals and even a dental implant. The staff, especially Terri, are always really friendly. That's an extra bonus if you are someone like me who hasn't had the best dental experiences in the past.

Dr Jim has been my dentist, and my only dentist, since 1979! As a medical professional myself I am aware how a doctor and his/her staff need to treat patients to be successful. This practice is very successful because they do good work and everyone, most importantly the dentist, knows what they are doing.
Dr Henley has never let me down and he has never advised any dental treatment that was unnecessary. I trust him to do what's in my best interest. Period.

Dr. Jim Henley is by far the best dentist I have ever been to in my life (and I am almost 70 years old). In 2010, I was in severe pain from a abscessed tooth and had been without regular dental care for some time. Dr. Henley's staff gave me an early appointment and took care of my needs with compassion and consideration, From then on they have pretty much changed my whole outlook. I can now smile without hiding my mouth behind my hand and I really appreciate the freedom of my new healthy and happy attitude.

This guy is a quack. I ended up paying for 11 cavities and sealant for my son. We went to another dentist who asked why my son had so many fillings. He said that they were not necessary. In addition, the sealant is only necessary once and the quack's treatment was for the second occurrence.
This guy is a prime example of a dentist that gives dentistry a bad name. We trusted him and he took advantage of the situation.
Additionally, I'm not the only person whom he has done this to. Our friend had many "cavities" filled by the guy and was subsequently told by another dentist

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Henley since we moved to Rohnert Park 7 years ago. We’ve always received excellent care. And staff have been willing to work with us to help us budget costs and pay our bills—our insurance covers only part of the approved charges. We appreciate this dental care team!

Run don't walk away from this horrible place!!!!!! Got referred here from family and have heard of this doc living in RP all my life. So my wife goes in to get a regular cleaning and check up. She's maybe had one or two cavities in her life. She goes here and wham she has not one, not two not three but four cavities. One was pretty clear on the X-ray but the others were hard to see. The doc was adamant about what we were looking at so my wife made the appointment to get them taken care of. She was quoted about $800 for the work. Knowing it could be a little more we were okay with that

I have been using Dr. Henley and his staff services for nearly 25 years. Everyone has been considerate, prompt, and helpful with procedure explanations. Dr. Henley has recommended excellent physicians for special problems with my teeth. Since I am a senior and no longer have dental insurance, he has been helpful with my financial planning. My appointments are relatively pain free and I walk away with a happy face. You will be well taken care of in this dental office and worry free.

Just started see him as my Dentist last year. He is great!! And the staff. I have never felt so comfortable and well taken care of. I was referred by friends and coworker who also recommend him. 2 thumbs up.
2017, still seeing Dr Henley & his staff.. Great work! Just had a crown place & it went as well as expected. Lol! Never fun when the drills come out but they will do everything to make it the best experience. They call to check up on you after too.
