Early on in the pandemic, we completed office preparation for elevated dental care by adding several layers of protections for patients and our team including but not limited to: an office wide dry hydrogen peroxide air purification system, a UV air sterilization system that is centralized in our HVAC system, aerosol extractors in each patient operatory, additional suctioning technology during dental procedures, highest level personal protective equipment, dental care instruments to clear dental aerosols before they can leave a patient's personal space, even more elevated disinfection systems, strict screening protocols for patients and staff, and stringent check-in guidelines.

Services
Dr. Varlakova has been a dentist in Sonoma Valley since 2011, and has chosen to put down roots here with her husband and partner, Dr. Lee Tetz. Born in Bulgaria, she comes to Cotati having grown up in Toronto, Canada, and then pursued her BS degree in Nutritional Biology at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
We now have a state-of-the-art soft tissue laser that allows us to perform many procedures that can be painless, reduce healing time, and prevent bleeding in a myriad of procedures. Many of you may have heard of Invisalign from friends & family or in the media. The Invisalign treatment entails custom made esthetic, clear, comfortable, removable aligners to straighten teeth.
We provide timely, professional, honest care, and we expect payment at the time of service unless there has been an agreement to a payment plan for more extensive treatment. We make every possible attempt to provide you with a written estimate for prioritized treatment we recommend following your first visit and anytime we recommend treatment.

What a stellar experience. From the moment I walked into Cotati Dental Wellness, I felt welcomed. The energy was compassionate. Every process was explained clearly. The interaction with Dr. Sylvia and her staff was thorough, kind and compassionate. I never felt rushed or nervous. Cotati wellness was a good experience for me. I have really bad teeth and Dr.Silvia was not rattled at all. When you have issues like mine you want to see the dentists confidence and I can tell right away that she was a good person for the job. Everyone was professional and office was very clean and cozy. Dr. Deaguiar is a fantastic dentist! My wife and I go to her, all my adult children go to her as well as my 2 little grandchildren. Everyone agrees she is the best. She knows all of the latest Information, and has the best techniques. Just as important, Dr. D is a delightful person with a great sense of humor! We give her and her staff the highest recommendation.

As any doctor or dentist who has worked with me over the last ten years knows, I am not an easy patient. This is due to previous malpractice and medical errors in judgment about medical care by a few other medical professionals in earlier years. I ask a lot of questions. I don’t trust them easily. But throughout time with Dr. Tetz and Dr. Varlakova I have become convinced that they are there for their patients. They are highly skilled, caring and compassionate as are the rest of their staff. They explain what they’re doing and answer your questions. It’s nice to have them in our community

I have been a long time patient at Cotati Dental Wellness and definitely recommend their services to friends. I can always schedule appointments quickly & conveniently with Carrie, the front office manager, and she is always pleasant to speak with. In Cotati Dental i have found the most caring ❤ group of professionals who provide me with the dental care I need, and if I can avoid ending with future procedures and expenses, my dear Dr. Varlakova and my dental hygienist Katherine advise me on how and what to do to prevent that. In other words, they don't get you into unnecessary expenses. Their office manager is an awesome woman, she helped me from a telephone call, an email, a text, a letter to keep myself up to date with my dental care, she makes all the process with my insurance to be easy and smooth. Dr. DeAguiar made a beautiful crown for me while I waited. With my old dentist, I had to make two visits to get a crown.
On another occasion, she made a special trip to the office after hours to get a look at a possible tooth infection.
She’s really skilled and very gentle with her work. It’s a pleasure to be treated by her!
