Wanting to pursue a better life for himself, Gabino left his town of El Salitre, Zacatecas, Mexico and headed to the United States of America. Finding himself in California, he entered the restaurant business and started as a waiter at a restaurant named "El Barrilito". Little did he know what would become of this.
A few years later, El Barrilito closed their doors and the doors reopened as "Don Perico" with Gabino as a Manager. In 1996, Gabino took over as the new proud owner of Don Perico Mexican and Seafood restaurant. Don Perico thrived and twenty-four years later, a second location opened on Hageman road.

Right off the bat...great place to eat and really good staff...I don't know if it's the training or they just know how to pick their staff...but we've always had great host and waiters.
Good choices in traditional Mexican dishes(lots of them) AND...if you're a conscious eater , they have good healthy choices too...try their grilled Snapper with Shrimp and Vegetables and if you don't want the carbs opt out of the beans and rice(but they are really good too) and get some fresh ice tea.
They also have a pretty good size bowl of fresh guacamole with the little bit veggies mixed in(union and small
