Marsilio's Kitchen was founded in 1951 in the famed Italian neighborhood known as Chambersburg, New Jersey. It was run as a mom and pop restaurant for 35 years. In 1986 Grace DiDonato and her son-in-law to be, Alan Meinster bought Marsilio's and changed the name to Marsilio's Restaurant. During the next 21 years, Marsilio's was transformed into a local hot spot, a place to see and be seen.
Marsilio's Kitchen is a landmark Italian restaurant and bar that offers traditional Italian fare and is famous for its Chicken Cacciatore and Veal Parmigiana. Our menu also offers aged steaks, chops, fresh seafood, and mouth watering pasta dishes, including homemade gnocchi and "Sunday Gravy."

We celebrated my sons’ birthdays at this gem of a restaurant with 12 people. A warm and friendly ambiance, a wonderful wait staff, fast and efficient, with a great menu and interesting specials. The calamari, veal chop and braised beef papardelle were all perfect. Others praised the shrimp special and Chicken Sorrentino and we finished the meal with the “ I can’t decide “ dessert and the Dark Side of the Moon Chocolate Cake. Our waitress, Lori, was very helpful and friendly , with a good sense of humor. It deserves the high praise it has received from its diners.

Atmosphere is better than the food. Do a google image search of "chicken parmesan," guys. The cheese goes on after the sauce. Who messes this up? Who melts cheese on top of a cutlet and then pours bland sauce on top of it? It comes out like a frozen Encore chicken parm pattie from the grocery store. Nothing at the table was great. I think the restaurant is a bit far off the beaten path for real Italian food expectations. Table was from NYC. Nobody enjoyed their meals. When a ten year old said, "Sauce tastes like Ragu" I had to object. Ragu is better.

I'm so sad..I don't know what happened to one of my favorite Italian spots....they took Sunday Gravy off the menu! Garlic bread with no garlic...no solid nicely priced wines on the wine list...the food was okay..okay! Never had that experience....the staff was new inexperienced & unfortunately not knowledgeable or aware of normal service procedures....I struggled between a 2 & 3 but ...

First time here. Saturday night reservations for 4. As soon as you arrive you are hit with the wonderful aroma of an italian grand moms kitchen. Seated right away and quickly followed by drinks and awesome bread. Salads were fresh and tasty. Most had veal entrees which were thin cut and tender. Top to bottom this place was great. It's in the rotation now.
Came back again and it was just as good as the first. Super friendly staff, great bread salads and entrees. I love this place!
