When our founder, Shushil Patel, realized that there was a huge gap for Indian Wedding decorators. He wanted to make sure that on the Bride and Groom's special day that they should not have to worry about anything and should only expect perfection and Utopian Events was born. Our first event we designed was in 2004 and since then Utopian Events has been bringing happy faces to all of our clients.

Shushil and his team at Utopian Events did an amazing job with all the decor at our events! We truly loved working with Shushil! He and his team went above and beyond into making our decor come to life. We got so many compliments on our decor as well! During our Garba, he surprised us with a bike to make an entrance on. We worked with Utopian events for the past 2 years, due to COVID our wedding was pushed back, it was a long road to get to our wedding, but it was worth it! Angelica and her team did an amazing job making our vision come true while adding her own thoughts and creativity to the decorations. Kinjal was amazing day of making sure everything was perfect and Shushil was great with communicating with my parents and making sure everything was done correctly as well. I highly recommend Utopian Events for any wedding! Planning a wedding in general is very difficult work, planning a wedding that has to be postponed due to a pandemic is beyond stressful. However, Shushil and his team at Utopian Events made our lives so much easier.
We had a total of 5 events during our wedding weekend that needed décor, Shushil completely executed our vision and then some. Not only did he take all of our ideas into account, he had great input and added value to enhance our expectations.

I had Utopian Events decorate my reception is past March, and they did such a beautiful job! I went in with one idea and completely changed it seeing images from other people's events. Shushil was so kind and sweet and definitely made my event so so beautiful! I have had so many couples ask me who my decorator was because they loved the decor so much! I can not say nicer things about Shushil and his crew! He really did create the most perfect estate tables for me!

Words cannot describe how much I am grateful to have worked with Shushil & his Utopian Events team. If I were to try to find one word it would be OUTSTANDING! Shushil was awesome to work with! He spent three (very) long sessions with us to understand the type of events (sangeet, wedding, reception), the decor we wanted, and our budget we were working with. He was patient with changes that happened over time as we developed more concrete visions of each event. He was great about playing around with different decor ideas so we could be cost effective but still beautiful! He also created centerpieces for our tables and aisle way pieces based on an inspiration photo and they turned out amazing! We got so many compliments on them. He did not push any preferences

"I first saw Utopian Events' work at my cousins wedding in 2013. I still remember when my mom and I walked into that reception we could not stop admiring the work. Fast forward to 2017, when I got engaged I knew UE was one of our first decorators to call! We had an amazing face to face meeting and from then on there was no question on the collaboration! Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, amazing... I simply do not have enough adjectives to describe the decorations created by Utopian Events for our wedding! Utopian helped to design multiple events for our wedding and each time I walked into the room before the event, I was literally stunned by the beauty of the room. However, what is truly amazing is that each successive event was even better than the last. Our mehendi was whimsical, elegant, and colorful. The ceremony was cool, sleek, but at the same time so ornate. And finally, our reception literally left me speechless with as it struck the perfect

Overhyped, overpriced decorators. Had the contract signed with Utopian for our wedding. The lead guy Shushil will not take up contracts below a certain amount (trust me, we were charged a bomb for the decor we got); so he assigned us to work with his not so creative assistant Angelica. Ofcourse things didn't go the way as we wanted to go. Few instances worth mentioning are a. Angelica was trying to argue with us and impose her decor idea on us; please keep in mind we are paying thousands of dollars to them for our special day!, b. when we reported the issues to Shushil later on after the wedding

We agreed on a contract and we paid the full amount, however utopian events did not follow the contract. First of all, the prices kept increasing every time we talked to Angelica. They promised they could open up our Mandap for the reception and after we signed the contract, she argued that she couldn't do it. The week of my wedding, I was receiving text messages about changing the centerpieces that we had already agreed upon. I clearly stated to stick to the contract but during the wedding, utopian events decided to do whatever they wanted to do anyways. I thought about letting it go but

As a Wedding Photographer - Utopian Events are an amazing vendor to work with.
I worked with Shushill + his team earlier this year and he was amazing!!! He worked with me the month of the wedding to finalize timelines, confirm changes and he was so attentive in co-ordinating certain aspects to help me as a photographer. He understood many aspects that go beyond the client's vision. He had clean pipe and drapes lines across the room, which is always a pet peeve for me when they are messy or crooked. The stage was exceptionally wide and tall allowing for me to shoot seamless - No exit signs

Initially searching for a reputable decor company, specializing in Indian weddings, I was quite impressed. Upon our first meeting on Nov 20, 2013, we felt relieved to have selected a vendor for decor services. The unexpected occurred when we received an email from you, 5 days after our signed off, executed contract, in which you were backing out. This was a first strike for us that this was completely unprofessional. Summing up the aftermath, based on what was expected from the contract and our meetings with you, it was a complete disappointment to all of us for you being unprofessional
