Services
At Colony Park Animal Hospital, our veterinarians bring a wide range of skills and specialties to our practice in Durham, NC. We've served local pets since 1984 and have built strong and lasting relationships with our patients and clients during these decades, not to mention the community at large.
Colony Park Animal Hospital has been a mainstay in Durham for more than 35 years. During this time, we've served the community's veterinary needs proudly and passionately, combining quality care with compassion to promote each patient's overall health and happiness. Our veterinarians are skilled and friendly, and they love what they do.
At Colony Park Animal Hospital, we believe that a pet's care should encompass more than just his or her immediate medical needs. It should also include routine wellness visits, dentistry, grooming, and even boarding while you're away. It should address any immediate concerns and promote a pet's overall health so he or she can lead a long and happy life.
As pet owners, we want our furry family members to be happy and healthy for as long as possible. Therefore, it's important to ensure you bring your canine or feline friend into Colony Park Animal Hospital for proper preventative care, such as routine wellness exams. This allows our staff to prevent harmful diseases or risks to your pet's overall health.
Just like humans, pets need proper dental care. Without proper teeth cleaning and examinations, the majority of dogs and cats exhibit symptoms of periodontal disease by the time they are four. Left untreated, it can cause serious health problems including tooth loss and infections that affect major organs.

I took my 15 year old dog here for the entire time I lived in Durham. He is old and has bad cataracts, so he has had a number of accidents where he has injured himself due to his poor eyesight.
If I called with an urgent matter, they didn’t make me schedule an appointment- I could drop my dog off and they would be seen that same day. This was really helpful when my dog lost the use of one of his legs temporarily due to an injury and another time when he woke up with a bad eye infection.
I would highly recommend Colony Park because it’s clear that they care about providing high quality service

I went to Colony Park because of the referral from a family member. Colony Park, thank you for making the vet visit the way it’s supposed to be, stress-free!!!
My previous Vet did not offer in room or curbside. I was so HAPPY when I found out that I would be able to have an “actual” appointment and not have to drop my dog off and leave him for several hours. At Colony Park it was easy getting an appointment when I needed it and the vet and the staff were very caring and professional. I would give 10 ⭐️‘S if I could.

We began visiting Colony Park in 2000 when we added our first puppy to our family, Bailey. We had received numerous recommendations, all of which were Colony Park Animal Hospital. This was Bailey's initial exam at 6 weeks and we continued to return to Colony Park for regular exams, teeth cleaning, illness events and now they care for our next two Peekapoo dogs, Bodie and Buddy. Exceptional doctors and staff. They are part of our family.

We have used Colony Park for 20+ years and have always been pleased with the great care that our dogs and cats have received. The staff is friendly and professional and the doctors are knowledgeable and caring with pets AND their owners. It has been easy to use their services during the pandemic; the new online check-in questionnaire is a quick and simple timesaver. I always have great confidence that my pets will be well-cared for at Colony Park!

I have been taking my pets to Colony Park Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Simply the best! Dr. Klaitman is Georgii's vet but I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Hughes as well. Just a wonderful staff here.

I love this vet. I chose them as I have a senior dog and they were recommended for seniors. They have been my vet for about two years and always treat my dog really kindly and have made excellent recommendations for her treatment. they're very responsive on the phone and have always seen my dog quickly when I've needed them.
