Over 30 years ago, a group of parents came together with the goal of providing a place for their children to learn through play. In the process, they created a place where parents could learn, build community and grow alongside their children. Our preschool program provides children 2 through 5 years old a play-based curriculum designed to promote the growth of each child, individually, in all spheres of development.
A play-based approach helps children "learn how to learn." Has excellent teachers who regularly update their knowledge and skills at regional workshops and seminars. Parents work as teaching assistants, maintain the buildings and grounds, and organize fund-raisers. Uses approved practices within the guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Kids' Cooperative is a non-profit, non-sectarian cooperative school established in 1982 with a grant from the Junior League of Las Vegas. The school was modeled after the Child Development Lab at the Community College of Southern Nevada, and is also part of the nationwide network of parent cooperatives that began over 40 years ago.
A parent cooperative preschool is organized by a group of families with similar philosophies who hire a trained teacher to provide their children with a quality preschool experience. The preschool is administered and maintained by the parents. The parents assist the professional teachers in the classroom on a rotating basis and participate in the educational program of all the children.
Central to our philosophy of early childhood education, and overwhelmingly supported by current research, is the belief that parental education and involvement play crucial roles in assuring a child's success, both in school and in life. Parents bring unique understanding of their children to the classroom, and with this knowledge, teachers and parents can work together to create learning experiences that meet the needs of each child.
My name is Bonnie Toth. I am honored to serve as our school's 2's teacher and director. I am a mommy to three amazing kiddos, wife to a very long-suffering husband, and teacher to adults and children alike. I am passionate about early childhood education. I am also committed to being a life-long learner and frequently attend conferences and classes related to early childhood.

Between my two boys we have been part of the Co-op for over three years. There is no place like it in Vegas, which is why it is worth the drive for us. Before I enrolled my kids, I only knew a little bit about early childhood education and the value of play based learning. Now I know so much more about what the Co-op gets absolutely right about children, their development, how they learn and what they need. But back then, it was my tour of the school that left me with the strong feeling that my kids would greatly benefit from attending. The small size, personal connections, enthusiastic play, happy

This is utopia for kids! They care so much about the kids and their future. It is special! This is not your traditional drop them off and go situation. It is a commitment to being engaged and sharing in the experience of watching your children learn and grow. You will be involved. The teachers are amazing and the ratio of teachers/volunteer parents to children is great. The back play area is incredible and the overall results speak for themselves. It really is a great option but as I mentioned it is a commitment.

This is the best little preschool AND KINDERGARDEN in the Valley. Several families drive 30 minutes each way just to have their kids and their families a part of this community. The kids (and the parents) develop a sense of family, a place where they are a part of the school rather then just attending the school. The teachers are so patient and knowledgable. Teaching and guiding youngsters is their calling not their job. At the Co-op, the kids develop a sturdy foundation that prepares them for elementary education. I have lived in las vegas for over 10 years. Since I joined the co-op

Our son has loved coming to this preschool since the beginning. He enjoys his time and is happy to be there each day. Although there's definitely more involvement and more work with the Kids Coop, we see the difference it's made for our son and how much he's learned and how much fun he has had that it's made our time and effort more than worth it. We highly recommend Kids Coop for any family where one of the parents can be more involved with the school. B/c there's more parent involvement as a Coop, the tuition is more cost effective than other preschools. The great part
