Are you interested in competing, self-defense classes, or simply wanting to meet your physical goals? Hayashi's Martial Arts Academy is the place for you and your whole family! Hayashi's Martial Arts academy was established in EL Paso, Texas since 1955. We have classes for men, women, and children starting at the age of 4! Hayashi's offers a complete training program as well as classes for both competitions and self-defense.
Our children's classes are highly energetic structured activities that teach discipline as well as self -confidence. One of my favorite places to be. The lessons are priceless, and the people I have met at this Dojo are amazing. My niece (she's 4) loved the judo classes! There are no words to describe what you learn and take with you mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Hayashi's Martial Arts Academy is a local family owned business located in El Paso, Texas on 211 Teramar Way. Open since 1955, and located on El Paso's Westside, Hayashi's provides interaction with martial arts to both children and adults. The academy hosts tournaments and seminars annually and year round.
Judo is practiced on mats and consists of throws, grappling (which includes pins and chokes for children 13 years and older). Judo is generally compared to wrestling, but it retains its unique combat forms. We teach your child how to fall correctly; which is beneficial in other sports. Judo training emphasizes mental, moral and character development as much as physical training.
Taught by head instructor and owner, Sensei Taichi Hayashi, provides private lessons and are available for kids starting at the age of 9 for all levels, competitive and/ or cardio training. Private lessons are offered for any kind of the martial arts.
Sensei Hayashi is a Godan (5th degree Black Belt) in both Judo and Jujitsu, 6th degree in Shotokan Karate, 6th degree in Bujutsu, 2nd degree in Kendo, and full fled instructor in Jeet Kune Do under Ted LucayLucay.Private lessons are ideal for those who can not attend regular classes and can be scheduled on an individual basis.

Hayashi's is a dojo that respects all as equals. Sure some fighters are more advanced than others, but this place will teach you, and give you the tools to learn. Kate Grey seems more like a scout than a spectator for a "gym in her city". Seems to me she just bashing hayashi's to boost up her gyms membership volume. Instead you should learn how to support one another Kate Grey.

This dojo is awesome! My son has been going for 3 years and it's helped him develop his confidence and self control. They have activities besides tournaments for the kids like movie night and my son loves going! Sensei Hayashi is big on respect and my son responds well to his rules inside and out of the dojo. Because the students are respectful the classes are ran very smoothly. The tournaments are fun, and overall I would highly recommend this place!

I went to the competition yesterday and had a blast, it was well run if understaffed and good sportsman ship was seen all around by the home dojo hosting the event and most of the other competitors. The refs did a great job ensuring safety of the athletes while trying to be as none biased and professional as possible.
I had an excellent experience here spectating and coaching and would be happy to attend another event in the future.
