Elegant, fabulous, and professional, these are the words that come to my mind as a wedding /special events filmmaker and having worked with Chanda and her A Monique Affair team since 2014. They were hired as “Day of Coordinators” and proceeded to do a lot of nothing except walking around with clip boards while the rest of the staff for the wedding deferred to another family member and actually executed. Their attire and appearance were unprofessional, one of their coordinators had on crocs the entire time. There were a slew of other underwhelming moments from the pair that included but are not limited to refusing to participate in certain service work and hierarchically situating them selves above the rest of the event’s staff.

Chanda, Syrhonda, and their team were a complete life saver. They were such a pleasure to work with, from start to finish. They were timely, professional, and extremely efficient - making sure to bring our vision to life. Oh, and they're so incredibly kind!

Chanda and Kristy (who was our main contact and coordinator) were both a godsend!
I got married this past weekend, and looking back, I was naive to think I could plan a whole wedding by myself! In this day and age, there is so much that goes into a wedding, and so many details that you don't think about, or have time to think about. About 3 moths before my wedding, I was stressed out and overwhelmed. I reached out my shaking hand, and Chanda reached back to grab it, and pulled me out of the quicksand that was my overwhelming planning process.

My partner and I are in the very early stages of planning our wedding, and recently met with Chanda at an event to ask about her business and services. We can both have social anxiety, and Chanda was so lovely and kind she put us right at ease! She was so helpful with all our questions and really upfront with pricing. It's very clear she really knows what she is doing and is an expert both in this field and this area. We also really like that we have seen her hire folks from the community in BAQE. Listen: Weddings vendors and venues tend to have a high markup and you seriously doubt the value. The one vendor/item I believe whole heartedly was worth every cent was to seek help from an event planner and I found help with A Monique Affair. I LOVE Chanda! I grossly underestimated how much would be involved in planning the wedding that we desired and we came to Chanda a little late in the game, but she made literally all of the difference. Our wedding, to put simply, was perfect and this was because of A Monique Affair. Chanda and her team were able to help my now husband :) and I create a vision for our wedding that fit us as a couple. What can I say?! Chanda knocked it out the park! In helping us plan our wedding, she was organized, detail oriented, efficient, and extremely friendly. She even had a special skill for calming our nerves when wedding planning started to get the best of us. I feel that this is unheard of, but she did such a good job helping us planning that my wife and I were able to have a relatively stress and planning free week leading up to the wedding.

Chanda is the ideal wedding planner! She's organized, patient, kind, caring and has beautiful positive energy.
Chanda utilizes basecamp to coordinate with us as clients and it was a great place to keep everything that was pertinent to planning, it was also a hub for our communication -- making it easy to remember things that we discussed. Chanda has a lovely office in downtown office, it is easily accessible for meetings.

Chanda came highly recommended by a good friend and we are so glad we chose her to plan our special day. From the start of planning she paid close attention to our style, helped us feel confident about breaking traditions and even felt like a counselor when we couldn't agree on certain things.

It was great working with Chanda at a Wedding Sistahs Event last night! She is a wonderful event planner and so creative and responsive. Chanda and her team are truly amazing. They really are the best at what they do. They think of everything, they plan for everything and they personally see to it that everything is taken care of and nothing is forgotten or overlooked. I hold AMA in the highest regard and there is not a wedding and/ or event planning team that I would recommend before them. They really are the epitome of professionalism and excellence. I had the pleasure of working with A Monique Affair for a wedding in North County San Diego and it was great working with someone who had it together. I appreciated how Chanda was involved with the flow of the wedding but she was not pushy or obtrusive. She had every thing planned out to the minute and it went off flawlessly. As a photographer sometimes we get stuck with some pretty awful planners but Chanda was excellent and kept the event moving without stifling any one elses work or creativity.

After interviewing 5 other planners, we were totally sold on AMA. Chanda was always there for us no matter what obstacles came up. If I started to panic for any reason she would contact me immediately to calm me down. Even when I was about to go down the isle. As soon as she saw me tearing up she was right there to talk me through it and calmed me… down. On the day of, her team was spot on with everything.
