Sugar Mill Cake

Jessica is both an artist and amazing baker. Our cake was absolute perfection and wonderfully delicious. She absolutely nailed the colors and piped buttercream flowers for our wedding cake. The cake was moist and flavors scrumptious. I will absolutely buy every special occasion cake from Jessica in the future.

But it is her ability to interpret your ideas and turn them into a unique and exciting cake that sets her apart. From our first meeting, Jessica was fun, responsive and enthusiastic, always ready to answer questions and accommodate my many requests!

And did I mention delicious? Oh, goodness. Her vanilla bean cake is my favorite and her buttercream is creamy and smooth and not to sweet. Even the fondant was yummy.

I went to my cousin's wedding last week. First and foremost, I love weddings. There's great food, and you get to reconnect with people you haven't seen in awhile.

But I digress.

As I was chowing down on hors d'oeuvres and taking full advantage of the open bar like any normal human would, I glanced over at the wedding cake which I thought looked super cool. Now the wedding itself had a nature vibe to it. It was really green with flowers everywhere. This cake followed the same theme and the attention to detail to this cake was marvelous.

I have used Jessica twice. Once for cookies for an engagement party- They were amazing and tasted as good as they looked. And once for my wedding.
When my wedding was coming up, I was first looking at vendors my planner recommended. They all were difficult to book with and just were giving me a bad vibe.
I remembered how easy Jessica was to work with, so we reached out to her. She (yet again!), blew us away. The tasting was fun, she is a great listener and very creative. She created our perfect wedding cake and then helped me create a grooms cake, which was a surprise for my fiancé!

The peach ombre wedding cake Jessica created for our intimate wedding was perfection. It tasted SO delicious -- vanilla with peach filling and buttercream icing -- and was not overly sweet. The look was AMAZING -- I sent Jessica pictures of some wedding inspiration and she ran with it and created a design that was exactly on-point. The price was very good, and Jessica was wonderful to work with. Jessica was quick to respond to email, had great ideas, set up exactly on time, and extremely friendly. You cannot go wrong with Sugar Mill Cake. I give them my highest recommendation!!

Jessica did a fabulous job of our wedding cake! She made designing something very easy, the cake tasting was wonderful, and it all came together perfectly. We also did cake pops which really stole the dessert show! S'mores cake pops were AMAZING. Reliable, personable and awesome --- definitely recommend!

I needed a cake for my daughters one year birthday party. Jessica was able to make the cake in the most perfect design with very little direction from me. The cake was perfect, and everyone at the party was in love with the cake. Everything about the ordering process was quick and flawless. She is super easy to work with and very friendly. I hope someone I know gets married soon or has a baby so I have a reason to come back and order another cake!

We needed a cake for our baby-naming ceremony, and Jessica did a great job! The cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream frosting and raspberry preserves, and everyone enjoyed it. We had asked for a cake that served 50 people, but then our friends made a cake-topper for us that was beautiful but also quite large. Jessica made the cake bigger to support the cake-topper, meaning it served more than 50 people, but she did not charge us extra. And her price was already very reasonable to begin with. We would absolutely return to her again and recommend her to any of our friends. Thanks Jessica!

A family member purchased a cake from Sugar Mill for my baby shower this weekend and I am sorry to say that it was a huge disappointment! I don't know what happened since everyone else seems to give this place 5-star reviews. She ordered a 2 tier white cake with vanilla buttercream and the cake was super dry and had no flavor whatsoever. The buttercream tasted like...well, butter. Maybe the problem was the flavor combination, I don't know but no one at the party seemed to like the cake. I will say that the design of the cake was absolutely adorable! It was a pink and gray elephant themed

Got a beautiful box of cookies from Jessica today - they're so pretty I don't even want to open them and eat them (but I will!). Jessica also makes delicious cupcakes and is super talented - I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for lovely and delicious custom cakes, cookies and cupcakes!

I prefer buttercream to fondant and we were able to come up with a design that used only a little fondant. The design of the cake was based off of a custom design we had made as our "wedding logo". Jessica worked with us to come up with a way to make the design fancier and tie different elements of our wedding together. She had great ideas and worked with us over email to make sure we were all on the same page about how the design should look. Everything tied together beautifully!

I've been fortunate enough to see some of their creations and let me tell you, not only are they visually appealing (Ooohs and Aaah's are guaranteed), they taste damn good too (Forget the diet and dig in!).
If you're looking for an array of cakes and desserts that look great but taste even better, Sugar Mill Cake is worth your time. Fo sho.

Jessica made an AMAZING San Francisco Themed Cake for a group of friends I had visiting in town. I just told her the theme and let her creativity do the rest and out came a wonderfully designed red velvet cake. Got a ton of compliments and Kudos from my guests and would highly recommend to anyone!

I have a major cake crush going on with Sugar Mills Cakes. And what's not to love? Moist cakes, check. Light and fluffy frosting, check. Excellent customer service by Jessica, check and check! I ordered a baby shower cake (bee themed) and Jessica designed an amazing one of a kind almond cake with fondant. The cake was super cute and it was delicious!! I have already placed a cake for my hub's birthday in July and even referred to a bride who's getting married in November. Yeah, it's that good. :-)
