Home health care includes a wide range of health care and social services that are provided in the comfort of your home. Services may also be provided in other settings, such as in an assisted living or nursing center.

Skilled Nursing Services include wound care, teaching about prescription medicines, or providing education on disease treatment and prevention. Physical Therapy Services restore balance, range of motion, strength and endurance. Physical Therapy in the home helps patients improve their ability to walk or to get up and down.
If you are Medicare eligible and qualified for care, there is no out of pocket cost to you. Home Care can also be paid for by the individual or family, private insurance, or a variety of public programs. Your own physician must write the orders for home health care services and oversee your care. Your physician must determine that you are homebound: requiring considerable effort and help to leave home.
