The time immediately following the death of a loved one can be overwhelming, with grief and bereavement complicated by a seemingly endless number of tasks. The immediate days following the death will be focused on the funeral or memorial service arrangements. Soon after, however, various financial and legal issues must be addressed.
For your convenience, total payment can be made in advance or on a periodic basis. Please ask us for details about the plan best suited for you. Our trained staff can meet with you in our office or in the privacy of your own home, with no obligation. Family Service Counseling is our program - provided to you at no cost - to help you through the economic changes of the next few weeks, and the emotional changes of the next few months.
Our staff can help you with veterans death/funeral benefits and will assist you in making funeral arrangements ranging from simple cremation to traditional burial services. We have a working relationship with the National and State Veterans Cemeteries. Contact us today for any questions or concerns you may have.
We feel one of the most caring things anyone can do for their family is to prepare and plan in advance. We understand the need and sensitivity of planning one's arrangements. We are so grateful to Geoff Thomas and the Newton-Bracewell staff, who walked with our family through the dark time of losing our dad unexpectedly.
They were so kind and compassionate. Geoff gently walked us through the funeral process and was never pushy. He was so patient, we cannot say enough kind words about the treatment we received.
This funeral home gave my father a beautiful funeral, even during covid. They allowed us to bring our own flowers, and make our own bulletin. Thanks again Geoff for all your time and effort, working with our cousins to make a beautiful service. We are so grateful

There are few words to describe how wonderful the compassionate and professional people are at Newton-Bracewell. Not only did care for and respect my dad when he died, they took care of the whole family. They are gentle and kind and I cannot imagine going anywhere else in this difficult time. They guided us through the process and oversaw every important detail for us. I want to give special thanks to Dane and Bob Bracewell for their personal attention and for being there for us, including standing with us at the funeral. I can't describe the comfort you offered me and my entire family.

I looked for many places and Newton Bracewell was the perfect funeral home for my brother... they were inexpensive less then $7,000 we paid and they were able to pick up my brother from out of state and bring him to Cali. After the service in Chico was over they took my brother to the Oroville cemetery free of charge where he was buried. Service was excellent with professionalism and respect.

Patrick was instrumental in getting a death certificate issued for my sister in law, Evelyn Cline, who was killed in the Paradise, fire last November! Now she can join my brother's. grave site, and the family can find some closure . Newton- Bracewell also handled my brother Richard's funeral very well. I handled many estates in my 43 years as a life insurance agent, and don't know of a better, more caring funeral home.
