When you mention a person that returned to his roots to make a difference, the first dentist that comes to mind is Dr. Max Martinez. Growing up in the area, Dr. Martinez graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. In 1984 he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
Cindy completed her Dental Hygiene degree in 1991 graduating with honors and receiving the award of Best Clinician in her class. As a practicing Hygienist for the last 25 years she has extensive experience in soft tissue management. She is extremely happy to be returning to Dr. Martinez's great team after leaving in order to have more time to raiser her two children.
Lucy is one of our Registered Dental Assistants and is a very charismatic member of our team. She was raised in the Los Angeles area, and she currently resides in Huntington Park with her loving husband and three wonderful children.
When she is not sharing her passion for dentistry or caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, whether it is at her son's basketball game, her daughter's dance recital, or enjoying time with her new baby.

Krystle was born in Downey, California, but she was raised in Paramount (another local girl!). She graduated from Los Alamitos High School and, following in the footsteps of her mentors, went to Cerritos College. As part of the Dental Assisting Program, she graduated at the top of her class and received one of the top honors during graduation, as well as the Student of the Year award.
Marisol is one of our Registered Dental Assistant. As an important part of our team, Marisol has been an RDA for over 25 years. Marisol was raised in Downey, California and received her dental assisting training at Cerritos College. She also received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocational Education from California State University, Long Beach.

Went in for my cleaning and was delighted I had such a great experience with Cindy. The is the second time I have been there after my husband who was a long time patient told me to go there because I've had such bad luck with previous dentists. Staff is amazing, they treat you with dignity and respect no matter what condition you may be in. Previous dentists I've been to make you feel bad when you have something wrong and make it seem like it's all your fault. I appreciate kindness and care for patients. Great bedside manner goes a very long way. Definitely would recommend Dr Martinez

Dr. Max and his staff are by far the best in Southern CA! Everyone knows your name and makes you feel like your the only patient in the office. If you are unsure of a dentist or you have been scared and not taking care of your smile, call this team of professionals. I live in Whittier and probably drive by 100+ dentists offices on my way to the team that are rockstars when it comes to you, your smile and especially your overall health!

Have been going to Dr. Martinez's office for years. I have always been completely satisfied with the courtesy, professionalism, care and procedures. Full marks all the way.
Today I had my teeth cleaned by Kim and she was an excellent technician, who not only did a thorough job but communicated on the procedure and was friendly.

Amazing service, Max is so kind and gental I'm finally getting stuff done I've needed to do for years. Ive grown up going to a old school dentist and have nightmares of hurt and pain and I go in expecting the worst but all those experience are in the past as Max using the latest and greatest to make the experience as smooth and painless as possible.

Like most people, I don't really like going to the dentist. It's not that I am s cared, but the last dentist I went to circa 2010 lied to me about cost and I ended up with a $500 bill after. But with Dr Martinez, that doesn't happen. His staff is probably one of the nicest staffs of any kind of medical that I have ever experienced! They had some regular patients in there who knew everyone by name and seemed happy to be there at the dentist!

I had one of thee BEST service EVER! I had an emergency and with no appt the front office staff immediately booked me in the ladys were so helpful and great customer service! Just finished up another wonderful visit to Dr Max's office for a cleaning with Kim. Let me tell you, this is the most wonderful place to get a cleaning, cavity filled, check-up or whatever your mouth needs. My oral health has improved ten fold thanks to the staff here at Dr. Max's.
Had some cavities filled by Dr. Tsao and he made it painless and quick and got my teeth back in great shape.
Then I come in and see Kim who provided me with a great plan to keep my teeth healthy and strong.

Dr Max is the most caring dentist I've ever had. Knowledgeable, a great listener, and NOT out to sell you something you absolutely don't need. Has great referrals too if a specialist is needed! We've been going to see him over 12 years now. Can't recommend him enough, and we sure do ever time we hear of someone needing a great dentist!

Went for a checkup and cleaning. Turns out I had a few cavities. I must say my experience at this office has been the best when it comes to the staff and doctor. They were all friendly and super gentle while they worked on my teeth. I have had horrible experiences in the past and dread going usually, but after this most recent experience I will be going in regularly whereas before I avoided trips to the dentist at all costs. I will recommend this office to everyone.

This office was friendly to the max! I walked in filled out new patient paper work and no more then 3 min was I already called in for x rays! I can't remember the dentist name I seen, but he was in no rush to get me out of the room he was great! he explained exactly what I needed, he took his time to let me know what my options where and I just felt very comfortable with all the staff at this office! Loved it!! Definitely my go to dental office. Thanks to everyone who helped my experience at this office very welcoming and comfortable!

I have had dentist fears since I was very young. Even getting a cleaning is stressful for me. Dr. Martinez and the whole staff is very understanding of my fears and always does their best to put my fears at ease. I recently broke a tooth while on vacation. Thankfully, it was able to wait until I could get into the office about a week later. I have been a patient of his for over 15 years and I don't trust my teeth to anyone else. Thanks Dr. Martinez!!

I actually found Dr. Martinez through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. This is the first dentist I've every raved about. Their office staff is friendly, I was seen right on time. Throughout my visit, they let me know exactly what they were doing. Dr. Martinez not only made me feel comfortable throughout the visit, but also inspired me to make my dental care a top priority (since I had been neglecting flossing). The last time you visited Disneyland, you must have walked through Main Street, where they have a Post Office, a Fire Department, a candy store, and even a mini movie theater.
