Nicole of Behind the Lense Maui was great! She captured beautiful photos of our multi-generation family that we will forever treasure. She was warm, friendly, and worked to accommodate the needs of all members of our family. She was also extremely flexible when she arrived at our agreed upon location and I wasn't there! I had mixed up the dates and she was very gracious is agreeing to return the next day, even though it was an hour drive both ways for her. Thank you Nicole!

Nicole did outstanding work for our last minute elopement in Maui in November. The photos turned out amazing and we absolutely loved working with her. Nicole was always quick to respond to our emails or texts and incredibly easy going to work with. She arranged an officiant (extra fee) who did a stellar job with our ceremony. When Nicole noticed last-minute the beach we picked had 6 other weddings at the same time, she helped us transition to another nearby location (Makena Surf), which was absolutely perfect and magical. I could not rave enough about Nicole at BTLM she is incredible to work with! Having answered all of my questions regarding the best beaches to get married on while analyzing my group of people and everything else was amazing. Once she got us to the venue after getting a bit turned around, she put our nerves at rest and got right to directing us where we needed to be and how we could get the best shots.

Love working with Nicole. I met Nicole 10 years ago and she took our family pics and did a great job when we had two very young children. Those pics turned out so good. We returned to Maui and found her again in Nov 2020. She just took our annual family pics and we had such a great time ! Nicole is professional, thorough, great communication, and know the island well. She feels like a friend to me in the way she cares about our stay in Maui, at the same time, super professional to deliver a great product. The kids enjoyed their time with Nicole too. Nicole was amazing to work with. We appreciated her direction and vision for the shots, as taking engagement photos and posing isn't necessarily natural for us. Nicole was great! She did an awesome job meeting our requests and making time for the different ideas we had for our wedding beach photo shoot. I truly love the moments she captured and would definitely recommend her! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I would have appreciated a little more direction in certain poses. There were some pictures I looked hunched over or had a weird stance and I would have loved for her to tell me a little adjustment to do. I am not the best at getting my picture taken so I probably should have asked for her to be a little more direct at correcting

Nicole took beautiful portraits of my family to commemorate my parents' 40th anniversary. From beginning to end, she was a pleasure to work with. As I was not familiar with Maui, Nicole recommended locations for photos and sent me links to look at them. The first location she suggested was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our family photos -- Kapalua Bay. At the shoot, she was easy going and fun. We worked with Nicole for the third time this past summer, and to no surprise, she's still amazing. Nicole took some of the most beautiful pics of us on our honeymoon. We are both a little camera shy but felt very comfortable with Nicole. I can't sing BTLM's praise enough! Choosing vendors from the mainland can be sketch especially without a wedding coordinator, but after my first email I felt the good vibes. From the initial consultation through our final call, the process was smooth and not overly time consuming. Day of ceremony Nicole showed up early and stayed late to make sure everything was perfect. She helped calm down the bride, herded cats for the group shot, and gave great tips to get the most out of our sunset shots. The photos were delivered via zip drive through email two weeks later...... yes I said two weeks

Our experience with Nicole was FANTASTIC! My husband and I have different personalities and neither of us really knew what we wanted so I know it was a little challenging for Nicole to figure us out. We were so laid back about the whole thing. I was totally NOT a bridezilla, I was just happy to be in Hawaii and to get married on the beach. My job is very demanding and I travel A LOT. Nicole, Ian and Tyler were incredible to work with for our family photo session. They were up to the challenge of capturing 3 generations and 4 families, providing us with beautiful memories of our time together in Maui. The pictures overall turned out amazing! We wanted photos to capture the vibrant colors of Maui and that is exactly what we got in the photos for our wedding day and the trash the dress photo shoot. We had several phone conferences to prepare and reiterate what we wanted. Nicole is very quick to respond if you ever have any questions! I had my wedding ceremony on Makena surf beach in May 2015. The location was perfect and the photos were amazing. Sue was my photographer and she made us feel comfortable the whole time. It was a fun process. Nicole handled our images afterward and was friendly and very speedy. We had our purchased images promptly as promised.
