In 1869, the Leamon family established our funeral home in Lena, Illinois. From the beginning the Leamon family did everything they could to gain the respect of our community, a tradition that we continue to this day. Over the years we have grown and today we have three facilities in Lena, Orangeville, and Warren.
As you visit our family-owned funeral home you will experience a certain type of warmth that cannot be duplicated. As a family-owned funeral home, we are concerned with you and meeting your families needs in an often difficult time. Helping families depends on a high level of dignity and care for your deceased loved one.

Services
In 1869, John Thomas (J.T.) Leamon founded Leamon's Furniture and Funeral Home after moving to northwest Illinois from Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Caroline, first settled in Cedarville for a year where he worked as a cabinet maker. They then moved to a small farm near Lena where J.T. worked in the painters trade until he opened the furniture store and undertaking parlor.
This offering includes: Basic services of funeral director and staff. Removal of deceased from place of death to funeral home. Use of facilities for shelter of deceased, preparation of body for cremation, crematory charges and necessary authorizations to complete cremation requests. Graveside services only held at cemetery.
Staff members of LEAMONS FUNERAL HOME are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. He graduated from Lena High School in 1943.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
