Services
Grandmaster Kim left his native Korea to travel the world and create his own Martial Arts Learning Program. He lived in Spain for twenty-one years and moved to the United States in 1991. He has been a resident of California ever since, and has created KM2A Learning Center for the sole purpose of developing children with a strong moral foundation so that they can benefit society.
Basic skills - We stress the importance of basic skills as the foundation of our program. Establishing strong study habits from a young age will build confidence and improve grades. Individualized Curriculum - Proficiency tests are administered upon admission to our program. Each child is then given an achievable academic plan that suits their specific needs and goals.
Students can do Martial Arts discipline and study without having to move from one location to another. This Korean-made, first-ever, computerized, scientific Martial Art training machine has been built to help optimize training. Anyone who has experience training in Martial Arts probably has wondered how to accurately measure the power and speed of their punches and kicks.
A reasonable ratio of students to teachers ensures a lot of attention and care for your child. A variety of educational and informative grade levels are used every day to learn how to cultivate a habit. Focusing on English and Math skills to better understand the core concepts and principles of learning in order to improve your student's performance.

Went here a few years ago and got my black belt - I had an amazing time learning from Master Kim and Jr Master Kim and the black belts for the few years I was there. Such a fun, a loving and supportive community, and I also learned some great skills such as discipline, self-control and determination. It was also such a great outlet for me. Bring your kids here!!

This is where I started learning Martial Arts. Not only did it inspire a lifetime journey in the martial arts. I was able to learn discipline and the extremely interesting curriculum. My sons grades and Taekwondo improved quickly when we came to KM2A a couple months ago. Love the teachers they really care about the kids. They pick up directly from school and make sure homework is complete. It's also cool to see my seven year old breaking boards! I guess the best part is the boost in his self confidence. I cannot say enough about the care and results:)

He was having difficulty at his aftercare program. He needed more structure and they let them do as they pleased. He always ended up in trouble or crying and telling us he didn't want to go anymore. He started having issues in class too. As parents this is stressful when you work full time. It broke my heart. There was a final straw and we switched him to KM2A for aftercare.

The best martial arts / after school program around. My son attended this program for almost 6 years and received his black belt. Discipline, structure, confidence, and good behavior are some of the few things my some learned from this program.
Master Kim, Junior Master Kim, and Mrs. Kim are awesome. We consider them a part of our family. They took good care of my son while I was busy working.
We miss them so much. I highly recommend this place.

1. Outstanding Tae Kwon Do instruction.
2. Solid academic tutoring.
3. They pick up or children from school.
In a little over the four years that our children have been attending KM2A our oldest son, who is now 10 years old, has achieved his first degree black belt. He is now well on his way to achieving his second degree black belt. Our youngest, who is 8 years old, just achieved his red stripe belt, and he is well on his way to achieving his next

I don't know why this place has so much negative reviews!
First of all, Mr and Mrs Kim have an awesome establishment on their hands especially for full time worker single mothers like me who need the additional after school program.
The great thing about their program is that they offer martial arts on TOP of an after school program. They also have convenient pick ups and drop offs! They pick Julian up from San Miguel and they take him straight to the program where him and his classmates do homework and finish their lunch and then at about 3ish they begin their tae kwon doe class that

My kids have been enrolled in the after-school program for a year now. I found their school transportation very reliable, my kids are always picked up on time without a hitch over the past year. I like the fact that they get to practice martial arts as well.
I don't give them 5 stars because my daughter has severe nuts allergies and I don't think they are very careful about this. She has been offered candies, sandwiches and ice cream containing peanut multiple times.

This review is solely on the shuttle vans and their drivers, and the so-called manger(s) or owner(s) over the phone. I have not attended nor have had a child attend the school or the after school program. We live in the neighborhood that is located on the street behind this business, and their van drivers (that are transporting children in them) consistently speed down our 25 mph street to use it as a short cut versus taking Sunnyvale Ave. We have complained several times about the high speeds their vans are driving at, and they really don't seem to care, making excuses that they don&apos

I will never take my child here again!! Master kim is the worst! He embarrassed my son and yelled at him at the top of his lungs in front of everyone (even the parents were watching) just because he didn't put his belt on before class he also pushed his face because he didnt do a move right. My son would cry historically every time I would take him to class and I never knew why but it was because he was scared to tell me what happened and cause he was scared of master kim. Ive seen how he has treated the other students and making them cry and its horrible I dont understand why the parents

We did not have a good experience. My 13 year old daughter was humiliated by Mr. Kim. His unwanted physical touching was addressed at a meeting and he agreed to apologize to her. Instead he called her a lier in front of the class after he already admitted to putting his hands on her at our meeting. Their billing is hand scratched notes on a sticky pad without explanation. Very expensive and no recourse if you don't like what they provide. Not set up for older children and touching my daughter without her permission is a definite no-no. We have two children that have been attending KM2A Marital Arts & After School program for over two years now. We have been extremely happy with the progress our children have made in their Martial Arts. The after school homework program is much more than we could have asked for. They are learning good study habits at an early age which will help them in the future. We know our children are always taken care of and safe at KM2A. My son has been going to KM2a for two years and he loves it. He loves the structure and challenge in the martial arts training. I love the emphasis they place on self-confidence and independence. I used to train in this studio under Master Kim for close to 5 years, in the adults classes. I learnt a lot from discipline to self respect and had a very healthy 5 years.
A bicycle mishap a year back has taken me out of the training, but anybody who wants to train in TKD, this is THE place outside of Korea I would say.
This class is run the best way and many thanks to Mrs.Kim also for that.

[12/18/2009] I enrolled my daughter in Master Kim's Tae Kwon Do program when she was 7 years old. She has been with the program for close to 3 years now and has earned a brown striped belt and is testing for her Red Belt (close to a Black belt). I have seen a growth in my daughter's self confidence, attention and focus, and self discipline that I believe she would not have received from regular schooling alone.
