Pure Taekwondo was founded in 2004 in Santa Clara, CA as a freelance endeavor built on the foundation of indomitable determination. The masters of Pure Taekwondo are high-level Kukkiwon certified black belts. These masters are fully trained in the arts of Taekwondo, Judo an Self-Defense that spans a legacy of over 120 years.

Master Carlo is truly dedicated to the art and tradition of Taekwondo in its purest form. Master Carlo teaches Tae Guk and Palgwe style forms and is registered with Kukkiwon in Korea
Discipline -
He doesn't waste waste time when it comes to teaching both children and adults and has a high focus on instilling the discipline to learn both in and out of class for the younger students. It does not matter the age, if a student earns a belt level they are expected to perform at that level and will be given the proper respect for that regardless of age. Everyone takes pride in their achievement

Pure Taekwondo is an amazing facility with fantastic staff. I was very involved with martial in my youth, and Pure creates an atmosphere of nostalgia, mental & physical challenges, and a focuses on the importance of the mind and body. This is very refreshing compared to a lot of martial arts studios these days. Carlo is a sense that I look forward to having my kids learn from once they come of age.

My son is going to Pure Taekwondo for almost 4 years and loves it. I've seen a lot of improvement in him, both in physical strength and as well as hand/eye coordination and focus. We love the class size here and the instruction quality.
I looked at one or 2 studios earlier which were closer to my home and found them over-crowded and very commercialized. We find our selves very lucky to find Pure Taekwondo. My son enjoys both forms and Sparring.
Master Carlo, who is a 6 degree black belt is very dedicated and his main aim is to impart best quality traditional martial and self-defence.

I achieved my black belt in TKD in the 80s, the sport and number of studios has exploded since then. When my kids became old enough to start their journey, I was overwhelmed by the number of choices out there. But, after visiting most every single one, the final decision was very easy to make.
Pure Taekwondo offers the perfect balance of the traditional art, self-defense and the competitive sport. Studios that focus on Olympic style sparring do so at the expense of the art. Other studios I've visited have modified the traditional teachings to be easier or more kid-friendly. Pure Taekwondo
