For 24 years, we and our dedicated staff have provided personalized, one-on-one patient care. We still believe that this style of physical therapy practice, run by PT's, without PT Aides or Assistants, insures the best patient outcomes. Sadly, we can no longer sustain our business model in the face of rapidly rising rents, sharply declining insurance reimbursements, and growing administrative costs.
Our small family and patient-centric atmosphere have fostered many lasting friendships with clients and staff over the years. While we will truly miss this part of CCPT, Stacy and Sue remain life-long friends and colleagues. We will both continue as individual practitioners in different settings and will continue to deliver the professional care and personal touch our patients expect.

Manual therapy is a hands on approach to assessment and treatment of certain kinds of physical conditions. It may include specific techniques such as stretching, therapeutic massage, joint mobilization, neuromuscular re-education and myofascial release.
Manual therapy is performed by Century City's skilled physical therapists to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures for the purpose of modulating pain; increasing range of motion (ROM); reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation; inducing relaxation; improving contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, extensibility, and/or stability; facilitating movement; and improving function.

The first appointment includes a thorough evaluation by a licensed physical therapist who then designs a unique treatment program. This may include an exercise program, hands-on therapy and educational information to help prevent future problems. Keep in mind that the therapist may apply modalities such as ice/hot packs or electrical stimulation for an extra 15-20 minutes.
A large part of the success in a physical therapy program is doing a regular Home Exercise Program. Here are some examples of some exercises that are based on CCPT's physical and integrative rehab programs. The audio instructions are to assist you in carrying over the instructions given with your private sessions.
Here are some exercises that were created for education and guidance on shoulder based rehabilitation. This is a very large file and may take time to load. As with any of our home programs, please be sure you are following the advice of your physical therapist.
